Danger of the Tarot Cards – Testimony of Tina an ex-tarot card reader

Are you a tarot card reader?  Please read Tina’s experience with Tarot and the dangers she talks about. Here is Tina’s testimony:

Like many non-Christian families, visiting Spiritualists and Fortune Tellers was our form of

Spirituality. We simply didn’t know any better and nobody taught us otherwise. From being a
teenager my mother and I visited Mediums, Psychics, Crystal Ball and Tarot Card readers. We went
to people’s houses for ‘sittings’ to contact the dead and receive messages. We began to attend
audiences where one of our favourite Mediums would be performing. Mum wasn’t as enthralled as
I was, and on hearing several Mediums saying to me – ‘You can do what I am doing’ – it encourages
you to develop your ‘gift’. Unlike my mum, I became more deeply involved in these practices.

What I was most attracted to was the Tarot Cards. I was more than eager to go out and buy a pack,
along with some instruction books. Then I began to seek out classes where I could learn properly. I
was taught to ‘feel’ the deck which I was attracted to, and meditate upon them. I bought different
decks of cards to work with. I loved them.

I quickly learnt how to read them, and started reading for family and friends, they all thought I was
good at it, and came back for more. I even began to keep a record of their readings on my computer,
so that I could print it out for them for them to look back on when predicted events happened in
their lives. People loved it. To me, this was just a hobby, nothing I took too seriously, something
which me, my friends and family could enjoy.

So I began to go to development circles. Concentrate on ‘tuning into oneself’ and picking up any
visions we might receive. This was then shared with the group and discussed. We were given
exercises to do to develop our abilities, and the leading Medium would then make contact and
deliver messages to individuals.

I became enthralled, and went out and bought heaps of different books on self development,
meditations, chakra reading, channeling, etc. I studied them earnestly, eager to develop.

We began to have ‘sittings’ at our house, where we would invite several friends or family members
to participate in the group. And we would tape record our sittings in order to look back on them as
predicted events unfolded. We were hooked!

I also began visiting local Spiritualist meetings where Clairaudience is carried out, receiving messages
from the dead, or having private sittings.

I was particularly attracted to the Tarot Cards, and very much took to developing this ‘gift’ and
wanted to know all there was to know about them. So this was the line of the Occult which I most
focused upon.

Although there were some happenings which were quite bizarre, I thought it was fine as no harm
came to me whatsoever. Even though I’d read warnings in Occult books about receiving a bad spirit,
I still didn’t think it was dangerous, as the advice was just to simply ask for it to leave, and for a
better one to take it’s place. Everyone who took part in such activities seemed to come to no harm
at all, so we continued . . . .

————————————————————–

In 2006 I was invited on an Alpha course to learn about Christianity. I reluctantly attended, thinking
I’m only going for the free cake and coffee! I even sat near the door so that I could ‘escape’, no way

were these ‘religious nuts’ getting me going to church!! After all, what could these people know
about anything spiritual? – They’d never been to a Séance! . . . .

But very soon, the Bible quotes spoke to me. The first one which really stood out was ‘I am the way,
the truth and the life’ – Something struck a chord, and I just felt that there was truth in this saying.
I think I even commented to my friend that this is true! I started to look forward to our weekly
sessions, and couldn’t wait to hear more Bible quotes and learn about Jesus. I began to realize that
these people were ‘normal’, and very loving. They still welcomed me even though I’d not felt very
friendly towards them when I first arrived. These Christians seemed full of love and seemed to have
happiness about them, which I wanted.

I didn’t want to the course to finish, so I attended another one and went through it all again! It was
even better the second time around! I then began to attend a Methodist church.

————————————————————————-

Two years later, in the Spring of 2008 I became a member of my Methodist church. However, I still
had my Tarot Cards, still thinking there was no harm in them whatsoever. It was my friend who
advised me to get rid of them, telling me if I call myself a Christian, I shouldn’t be dabbling with
those things.

I eventually agreed, and decided to get rid of my Tarot Cards, and decided to give 100% to the God
who had already shown me that he IS a pure love. I hadn’t read the Tarot Cards for other people for
a few years, but was aware I still had them at the back of a cupboard. As far as I was concerned I
had stopped dabbling in the Occult as I had stopped going to classes, circles, visiting Mediums, etc. I
only occasionally got the cards out just to read for myself, maybe once a year or so. I also still had all
the Occult books I’d bought . . .

I didn’t realize how VITAL it was that I get rid of everything which tied me to the Occult . . .

It was after getting rid of them that there were several strange happenings, I began to feel the
presence of a spirit, which kept visiting me between May and August. I realized the cards had
actually connected me with ‘something’, as I started to feel a presence which kept coming to me,
very often, almost weekly. It came at any time, out shopping, at work, sitting on a bus, when I was
fully awake. I guess it was because I had finally broken the connection, and it was trying to keep it. I
got used to it being around, I wasn’t frightened at all. I couldn’t determine who it was, just a definite
energy, in physical terms I guess I could describe it as being aware of a small area of ‘fog’. Although it
is impossible to physically describe the non physical.

There was even a time when it came whilst I was reading my bible at home, at this point I still didn’t
realize it was evil, and I actually welcomed it, wondering who it was, as it wasn’t giving me any
identity. My welcome made it become more vibrant. I could feel an increase in its vibration.

It sometimes came to me whilst I was at work. I told the cook about it, and she was convinced I must
have a guardian angel watching over me because it wasn’t anything frightening. One time I was in a
client’s room (I worked in a care home) and while she was chatting to me I felt it’s presence to be in
the direction of the corridor. I didn’t tell the old dear as I didn’t want to frighten her.

At first its presence made me feel calm and I became familiar with its vibration. As the weeks went
by, it became stronger, and in its presence I could feel it’s energy blending more with mine, my body
felt quite heavy, I begun to feel incredibly nauseous when it was around and my mind felt ‘spaced
out’.

To describe this spirit as an area of fog, you would think of it as something separate from yourself.
But because it came on an energetic level, it affects your own energy, and therefore affects how you
feel.

The final time was the strongest, in August. It was Holy Communion at the Church. I was in the
kitchen filling up the thimbles for the Communion. I felt its presence very strongly, even though
the place was busy, people talking to me, distractions, I knew ‘something’ was there and nobody
else seemed aware of it. It seemed to strongly touch my mind, the very point at which I think was
strongly emphasised. As I walked to the front of the church to place the Communion thimbles
at the table, there was the familiar feeling of it blending with me. I sat down, and this was more
than being calm – I could hardly move out of the chair – my body was so very heavy. My mind was
extremely ‘spacey’. Someone came to ask me to serve cups of tea after the service, I immediately
answered “I’d love to”. (Normally I would have hesitated as I am quite a shy person). But when I
answered it felt like it wasn’t quite me controlling my voice, the words just came, although I was
aware that it still sounded like me.

As the service began and everyone started to sing, I felt the presence beginning to fade. I was also
then able to stand and sing, and the presence quickly faded away. I realized afterwards this was
the beginnings of something wanting to take possession of my faculties. This was the beginnings of
something evil forcing me into trance against my will.

——————————————————————

Over the next few weeks, I became frightened and very upset, not knowing when it was going to
come back, obviously wondering how I could get rid of it. I rang my church Minister and made an
appointment to see him, needing help and not knowing what to do.

But days later I cancelled the appointment as I realized that it had decided to leave me alone, and
it has never been back – thank goodness! I can only assume it was because I was in the presence of
Jesus in that Holy Communion Service and it fled. What more proof do we need of Jesus saving us!!
Jesus said, “For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them” – (Mathew
18:20). There was a whole congregation there singing to him! There was definitely something in the
church that day which got rid of this spirit. That is absolutely AMAZING! Spirits flee in his presence!
IT HAS HAPPENED. AMAZING!

———————————————————————————–

I remember walking to work in the mornings and taking my Occult books with me to throw them
away in a waste bin at the top of the street, I eventually got rid of them all. I repeated the Lord’s
Prayer under my breath all the way to work, for many days afterwards.

The Church of England employs at least one Exorcist in every Diocese in the country. I renounced
my involvement with the Occult with the Exorcist in my area. Knelt before the cross, I was anointed
with Holy oil blessed by the Archbishop. People laid hands on me and prayed as I read aloud my
renouncement. To say sorry to Jesus was very special, and I’m so glad I did this.

I now realize what was beginning to happen to me, and how much worse it could have been, if this
spirit had been around any longer, I dare say our house would have become haunted, and heaven
knows what it would have made me do.

People who are into any form of Occult practices and think it is safe are nice, well-meaning people,
but don’t know they are deceived victims of Satan. You think you are fine, that there’s nothing

to worry about . . . . until you try to turn away from it. Then Satan’s demons will show their true
colours, start to harass you and want to keep a hold on your soul. These spirits are demonic, and
want to destroy your life.

It is not just the truth for me, I am not just one person who has had bad experiences, it is the truth
for everyone. I have since read other people’s testimonies who were previously involved in Occult
practices, they all say the same thing, they discovered the spirits they were connected to were evil,
not our dead relatives at all, and were saved by Jesus Christ.

—————————————————————————–

‘And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then,
if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions
deserve’. . . . . 2 Corinthians 11:14 – 15

—————————————————————————–

Anyone who becomes involved in Occult practices WILL connect themselves to evil entities. You
called them up! You’ve called Satan! He will come. I learned how spirit entities have the ability to
reveal or conceal themselves, to whoever they choose, wherever they choose, whatever you’re
doing, whoever you’re with, at whatever time they choose. It is dangerous!

I knew Christianity was what I’d been looking for all my life. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and
the life”, this struck a chord with me instantly, how fantastic! Knowing Jesus is far more fulfilling
than the false spirituality of the Occult. Satan can only provide a limited satisfaction, he does not
love you, and is only out to destroy. Jesus brings love. He loves us and wants to transform our lives,
he improves our relationships, he gives us strength to deal with our struggles in life, he changes the
way we see things, he wants a relationship with us and you begin to see his blessings as you become
aware of him working in your life.

I am now a member of a Methodist Church. I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever of the existence
of God and totally accept our Lord Jesus Christ as our only hope and deliverer from demonic spirits.

God has proved to me he exists, that he is more powerful than evil and that evil spirits flee from him.
I have felt the pure, perfect love of God – even before I became a Christian. God is an absolutely
pure, powerful, beautiful love with a deep, deep sympathy which totally wipes out all worries, fears
and anxieties. I want nothing but God in every part of my life, to devote my life to God, I live every
second of every day for him, and always will.

God is the protector of our souls.

Praising him here glorifies him in the heavenly realms.

—————————————————————

‘Do not turn to mediums or seek out Spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your
God’ . . . . . Leviticus 19:31

——————————————————————-

(John 8:32) “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” . . . . . Jesus

About Gaz Parker

I was born with the ability to see spirit entities. I learned to ignore them for most of my life but during 2004 I had a kind of spiritual awakening so i thought. For years I questioned it until I asked God to show me what this is. God showed me the truth and I realised these spirits are evil, they are demons. Jesus never left me, he love me and he loves you too. My audio testimony can be found here. Contact me here: newagedeception@gmail.com

Hi I’m nancy, I’ve had these Aztec tarot cards since 1998, I do feel something negative following me and I want it to stop! I find it really difficult to just go throw them out. I need help, I’m scared that I might not get rid of whatever’s following I seen the black shadow. I curse it away. I just want the right way to get rid of them.

    • Gaz Parker says:

Ownership of an occult product will always lead to trouble, throwing them away is the first part of a two step process to freedom. Don’t just throw the items away, destroy them either by fire or some other means to render them useless. This is prevent them falling into someone else’s hands. The occult object, especially if it was used or (in my opinion_ purchased with an intention of usage will have opened up doorways for evil spirits to enter. Thankfully you can cast them out in Jesus name however it is only those that have Christ within them that are given to authority to trample over these dark forces. Read Luke 10:19 and 1John 4:4. Those that are saved not only have to authority over evil they also have a far greater force within them.

      • katrina says:

As a christian I am in complete agreement.. In this age we live in there are now lots of Angel card readers they are deceivers and just the occult and very dangerous..Darkness dressed up as light …

        • Tina Storey says:

          Hi Katrina

You are absolutely right, even using Angel cards is just another form of divination, it’s just using different pictures. So many people are deceived by this. The Bible tells us that Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14).

          • I have them and also want no part of them. Just haven’t felt comfortable . Went to classes this past year and haven’t bothered with them. How do you get rid of them ? burn them . What?

            • Patricia says:

Sadly ,I also dabbled in the occult with tarot.at this time I was searching out God and wanted to know about Christianity.I had read tarot for a few years and did my own reading as well as for others. One particular reading, the death card came ,said accident ,death. 10 days later I was stabbed, nearly died.
Next I’m still doing readings, I start feeling sick ,my dogs got sick ,I became depressed but at the same time I was receiving info for anything I didn’t know ,all of a sudden ,I did.
My home started filling w flies,I started closing and keeping closed all my Windows, shades ,curtains.
Next I called a friend ,with a strong relationship w God ,she told me to talk to the father of a church.so I did.he must of saw it all because he began praying and told me to pray alot ,that my faith was weak and I was under attack, physically, kindly, healthier. He blessed me ,my pets ,my home items bought mostly at yard sales.then he said I had to burn the tarot cards and never approach them for info or to be the reader.i took the cards out.it took over 30 minutes to get them to burn/ they didn’t want to burn.the attachment to me had came thru the cards.i had never been so afraid.since then ,I have been baptised and am God’s instrument with a strong faith in my heavenly father Jesus Christ.
My advice is if you have questions, ask God.
              Many blessings ,Patricia

      • Cherokee says:

Never destory occult objects!! Do you no nothing?! It may destroy your or someone elses ability to access the gate, but the gate itself will remain open, and whatever is on the other side of that gate will still have access. By destroying occult objects, you are essentially giving up all control to the other side. ESPECIALLY a ouiji board. Never EVER burn or try to destroy a ouiji board. If these objects have had something evil become attached to them, your best bet is to have them be blessed and cleansed by someone with holy authority. Take them to church with you ask for the church leaders to help you! and after you are absolutely positive whatever was attached to them has gone away, than they will be safe to dispose of, but throwing them away or destroying them is definately NOT the first step!! Exactly why this lady who threw away her tarot cards continued having problems. She threw away her control of the gate without having first made sure it was safely closed, and the other side still had control. It seemed as though hers, while it was threatening, was not as strong as some others. Singing in church might not always be enough and if you tried destroying your “problem” before you solved it, you may have very well just screwed yourself and found yourself in a bigger mess than you were in before.

        • Scarlett says:

Occult objects and entities have no power over anyone who repents and receives deliverance, and forgiveness from Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ has been given power over all the powers of darkness.
To be scared to throw away and/or destroy occult objects is likely to reinforce their power and control over a person. To take them to church and ask they be “blessed” is blasphemous. You can’t bless an unclean, evil thing. Rebuke these things and cast out the evil spirits attached to them in Jesus Name and then remove them from your home, destroy them and be done with it.

          • Tina Storey says:

Amen Scarlett. Occult objects, whether it be Tarot Cards, Ouija Boards, or whatever should be destroyed. The devil knows when we have decided to turn our backs on him and turn to Jesus Christ, and tries his hardest to keep that hold on our souls and keep us from knowing Jesus. Jesus is truly more powerful than satan and we have authority in His mighty name.

          • Charmaine says:

            Amen to that

          • Charmaine says:

            Amen

          • Andiana says:

Yes .. u are absolutely right..the other one was COMPLETELY WRONG.. Never ask to Bless something that’s a total Abomination to our Lord Jesus Christ our creator king of kings and Lord of lords John 3:16 you will have eternal life as long as you accept Jesus in your heart you could cast out anything(jesus) as long as you have Jesus in your heart and rebuke it in the name of Jesus my grandmother did Heavy play with the Ouija board.. She was obsessed with my grandfather after he died and she got into it heavy she got demon-possessed and my mother was only twelve years old today they are both evangelists and their missionaries for the last 40 years my mom just passed away with a massive heart attack 2 months ago but she finished the race .she did her last preaching in Venezuela the most corrupted country today because of what’s Happening and God took her the next day and she was perfectly healthy.. but she finished the race ..and she was a Christian for so many years because of what happened to my grandmother by getting demon possessed

            • Scarlett says:

Andiana, I was surprised at the number of people merely posting their opinions on this blog forum. Everyone has an opinion but only the full sum of the Bible has the truth. Not “part of the truth” according to someones say so, but the absolute truth of Jesus gospel. As he said in John, “If you will abide, (continue) in My Word, then you will be my disciples indeed, and THEN you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free. So, the “opinions” of others don’t count with the Lord, but the hearing and DOING of the Word of God, the bible.
Thank you for your excellent comment, and may Jesus bless you. 🙂

          • Norah says:

            Well said and Amen
Destroy them, renounce it of your life. Repent and ask for God’s forgiveness and plead the blood of Jesus over you, family, home and possessions.
Jesus is the light of the world.

        • Irene says:

I disagree with you completely! How can you have an item ‘blessed’ which has been used for evil? I say ‘burn’ every ‘item’ that has been used in the Occult! That goes for Tarot Cards, and Ouiji Boards, the whole lot! The property in your possession having been used in evil practices belongs to and has Satans finger prints all over it! Hence that is why they have to be burnt! Any Church that would even think about blessing or pouring oil on any Ouiji Board or Tarot Cards, will not be a Church that is a Bible believing Church, or have a Holy Spirit filled Minister! To my mind the only Church that would do a ceremony on such articles is a Satanist church!

        • Stephen Smith says:

I’d like to express my interest in what your telling these readers my friend. A gate? Allowing this gate to stay open if you burn tarrot cards or ouiji boards? Not to burn tarrot cards? Having gate
Control? Losing gate control? Take this stuff into a holy church? Bless the tarrot cards? Bless the ouiji boards? My friend I’d like to bow our heads for a moment and ask God to give all of us reader’s a peace of mind in here. God please send us angels to close these gates of hell. I ask God to send the holy spirit here to help the left behind evil spirits to see the light and to become part of God’s great kingdom in heaven. I ask God to leave the holy spirit here so that Satan,s demon’s and entity’s can see that they are fighting for the wrong side and that God forgives us all no matter what we are or who we are. All we have to do is ask God for forgiveness. I ask God to watch over Cherokee and all of us while we watch ol Satan close his own gate doors . Satan could lose his entire army if he leaves that gate open for to Long. Amen and thank you God!!!

hi this is Pamela Newman I have received a set of tarot cards and a book which I have been reading I was curious if they have any bad spirits coming through them and yes thanks to you and reading your story I believe it now I also have an antique Ouija board that has never been touched or taken out of the box I do know that can cause evil problems but you said I need to burn everything I live in a place where I can not burn everything with fire I need another solution do you have any other ideas how to discard of all this and not have it come back on me please let me know thank you and God bless hi I am Pamela Newman I have tarot cards and the book and I also have a Ouija board I have never open the Ouija board never touched it I thought it would be good because it was a very old old one antique and hang on to it to make up some money but now I find that it is all evil and I would like to discard them I live in a place where I can not burn them so what kind of suggestion can you give me to get rid of them besides burning them ? please help me

        • Jon Maakestad says:

Pamela, God Bless you for making this decision. Please don’t worry about how you do this, just put them in a garbage bag with other things and tie it up tight and let the landfill inherit it. Nothing will hurt you. Focus on Jesus and everything will be fine. Jon

      • The name of jesus christ is what you need! Being saved and using authority God gives throu the name of Jesus makes demons flee!!!

      • Raj says:

Burning occult items is just asking for trouble. NEVER burn a ouija board. Instead consider sprinkling them with holy water, blessed salts, and blessed olive oil, making the sign of the cross on them with the oil, and then cutting them into many several pieces. Then put them in the garbage. If you burn it you could open a portal. And if you simply throw it away, it will often find its way back to you. That’s why you need to weaken them and then get them as far away as possible.

    • julee cole says:

i would advice you contact VOODOO SPELL spellkiller22@gmail.com, he helped me on a similar problem.

    • Marcia says:

Nancy, this also happens to people involved in Wicca, Witchcraft and other areas of the occult. Are you still using the cards? If you are, this makes it worse. I agree with others that you need to get rid of them. Fires can be dangerous so maybe just cut them up as Tina advised, or put them in plastic bags and dump them in a dumpster a few miles away so you are not tempted to dig them out. But the real remedy is faith in Christ. You will be always be vulnerable to such “negative” entitites without Him, especially if you’ve used the cards and other forms of divination. This could be God’s way of showing you the danger and waking you up to think about His son, Jesus, who died to pay the penalty for your sins. Please consider reading one of the 4 gospels and asking God to show you the truth of Jesus. Before I became a Christian, I was an astrologer for 10 yrs. – professional and licensed for 8 yrs. and had Tarot cards as well though I did not use them much but I understand how these things “work” and they are not from God.

    • Iain says:

You dont just throw them out you must BURN THEM there after you will have to face your personal demon. you can confront them using your voice of paryer. please dont be drawin in to being nasty to them as that will pull your energy down to there level. persistance pays off in the long run.

    • Iain says:

    • Gaz Parker says:

      Hello nancy,

Those cards act as advisories. They provide reassurance and indication of trouble. They take away your fear and leave you dependant upon ‘them’ just like a psychopath would lead his victims into capture. Burn your cards, ask God for guidance and he shall deliver. Call out satan in Jesus name

  2. Tina Storey says:

Hi Nancy, good to meet you. Yes, what Gaz is saying is right, it is best to get rid of the Occult product. When I wanted to get rid of my cards, a friend helped me to do it. I gave them to her and she tore them up in little pieces so nobody could find them and use them. At first I craved for them and wanted them back so badly that I bought another pack and used them straight away. My friend helped me out again, and this time, we both tore them up together, and threw them away in different waste bins all around the village.

If there is a church near you where you could go to have a chat to the Minister/Pastor, then that would be good, also if there’s some Christians who would come to your house and pray with you it would be helpful too.

I never discovered any attention-grabbing article
like yours. It is beautiful price enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made just right content material as
you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.

  4. John says:

I grew up in the church and have had a life-long journey of growth and expansion, that does not limit me to the prescripts of organized religion. I know there are many out there who are dabbling and playing with forces they do not understand or respect. For my part, my experience of God has been deepened by many non-orthodox practices, including meditation and the use of divination cards. Tarot cards are loaded with Christian symbolism and historically became one way to keep alive the Christian mysteries while the church was going around burning witches.

    • Scarlett says:

Using meditation, Tarot Cards and the like is nowhere to be found in the Word of God, the Bible. God strongly admonishes us to seek Him for wisdom and guidance, and against using such practices as the pagans and occultists do.

      • Well of course the bible doesn’t want the people meditating.. that would negate the need for religion and church altogether! ^_^ When we are communicating with source from within.. we don’t need to go to church.. because we have our own direct line to god…and we are no longer held in the bondage of fear. Think rationally… if you are suffering.. and god loved you, why in your most desperate time, would he/she/it not want you to feel at peace from having his/her/it’s guidance? It makes no sense and seems more like a distortion of the truth, so that you never do find god…and are forever dependent on the church.

        • Marcia says:

It’s not dependence on the church but on Christ. The church doesn’t save anyone, only Christ does. Christ is in accord with the Bible, constantly quoting the Old Testament and referring to it as God’s word. So warnings on divination are consistent with what Christ said and stood for: the need to turn from man’s ways to God’s ways through faith in Him. Tarot cards are man’s ways and man, in his unredeemed state, is influenced by the fallen angels especially in the areas of the occult such as divination.

          • It’s dependence on the church. And god would never elicit or promote dependence on anything or anyone… him/her/it included. The bible is the way of man too, since it is full of judgement and hatred against others who will not conform. Tarot is considered a sin, same with meditation.. because those methods allow us to see the truth for ourselves….
Rather than being advised to live a life of sightless servitude… Religion does not want people to think for themselves…

            • Marcia says:

You’re wrong – it is not dependence on the church. You have a total wrong idea of Christianity. It is about Christ. Christ founded the church but the church has no power on its own. Christ is the head of the church and its foundation. The Bible only relays God’s judgment on sin. But it is your choice, Nadine. You can reject it as I once did. I just hope that is not your state at the end. Man needs redemption and that only comes through faith in Christ. I am writing this mainly for anyone who may see it, not necessarily for you since you seem to reject it. It will be my last word on it to you.

              • Nadine says:

As you wish, you have your truth, I have mine Marcia. My view of religion comes from my experience from religion. So you judging my experience as ‘wrong’ is basically what I’m talking about 😀 No acceptance for others … constant invalidation of inner truths…
which is fine. But your truth is not the truth for everyone.. if it were the world would be Christian.

      • Me says:

Reflection is meditation. You christians really know how to separate yourself from everyone else. Well, most religions do. THERE IS NO ALMIGHTY RELIGION. WE ARE ALL CONNECTED. Wether you like it or not. Your ego is the evil you fight. WHATEVER YOU BELIEVE YOU WILL EMBED IN YOUR HEAD.
I studied Christianity btw. Read the Bible twice and then some. ONE GOD FOR EVERYONE. Take care of the world and eachother and hell on earth is over. Or turn the cheek and just keep reading a book that you fully don’t apply to. Oh I forgot, IF YOU BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIES FOR YOUR SINS YOU GO TO HEAVEN. What a lazy was to live by.

        • Scarlett says:

          Dear Me, excuse the pun…
You may have ‘studied” Christianity, you may even have read the bible twice and then some…. but you clearly have not come to the place of understanding it, or the Living Christ who died for all our sins, if, we will believe and follow Him.
Neither you or I can, or have the right to judge others, including Christians. You don’t walk in their shoes to know what stage of growth their in, or indeed, they may not be growing at all but rather backsliding instead, and or, maybe their going through a really hard time you know nothing about? Ever have one of those? Yes, we all do.
But listen, if you think for a minute that believing Jesus died for our sins is a lazy way to live, you have no idea what Christianity is all about. If it was “easy”, everyone would be doing it. The “easy” way to live is to believe what you want and sin all you want, and do whatever your selfish nature prompts you to do.
All that said, another thing that makes it not easy to be a Christian is the hate spewed out on us daily from people such as yourself.

  5. laura says:

I agree with John. Growing up in a Catholic family we were taught to fear tarot cards. Until I started a spiritual journey which was looking inside myself for answers I was lost. I went from religion to religion getting more confused.

I started to meditate and find inner peace. We come from God therefore we have abilities that can be developed. We are a part of God. The tarot cards help open your intuition and abilities. It makes communication with your Angels and higher self possible.

The draw back from using the cards is that it may be so accurate that you become addicted to using them. You can turn it into a positive or negative exchange. It up to you. Some safe/positive cards to try are the Angel cards. These are by Doreen Virtue who communicates with Angels.

    • threadstotwelve says:

I dont understand why everyone is so black and white about this. I agree with John. The cards help you become one with yourself and the dangers that they bring can only come from yourself. If you are conflicted within yourself these energies will manifest as entities that harm you and it is only your own will that can stop them. Quit blaming the universe for your own inability to control your emotions and your reality. It isnt “satan” or “demons”. If there were truly evil ghosts roaming everywhere waiting to possess those who state they believe in a certain man or not we’d be 70 percent eradicated by such evil beings. Dead. We are not. We are all in control of ourselves and cards only help you see that.

      • Irene says:

Sadly, I see Satan has succeeded in deceiving you too!

        • Akhil says:

There are demons and angels everywhere we are shielded by them through our spirit and God but tarrot cars and ocult practices and beliefs cause us to be weakened to the demons allowing them to control us and allows us to let feed of our soul given to us by god and this stuff can also give demons power over us for if we willing ask for demons or give into demons or give them power over us or ask for their power we surrender ourselves to them to let them have their way with us though God we are protected from them. I have a mother who makes me mad through her blind faith and talk about God constantly for I know that she would willing sacrifice me to him if she thaought for a moment it would be for God but when she told about the truth about tarrot cards a did research and was greatful for her she even said God must be watching over us when she learned about tarot cards from her extremely christian friend like herself I am going to burn the cards myself tommarow with help for she believes in Jesus a lot I also got those cards when i bought a video game from gamestop i didnt think much about it and didnt believe her at first until i did research and what i found surprised me and i dont want to take chances with ocult and i also noticed since getting the cards i began to lie much much more i would lie like breathing about the most stupidest things for example when she asked me where the cards where even though i overheard her talk to her friend that saying that i wouldnt be in any trouble for my friend got the game as well i lied saying that i threw out the cards when she asked me where they were despite it would have been better to just tell cause i dont know how to use the cards and i dont really care about them but when it came lying ever since i got the cards i would lie WAY too much. I am glad that i am going to burn the cards tommarow.

    • Believe in Tarot and any form of fortune-telling is to violate the first commandment. If you believe in God, why dont you find and talk to him instead of practice such a thing that you dont even know where its brain is. How can anyone believe that a subject which human have made can be powerful? Since it is not come from God, of course it is something evil (althought our sore eyes may cannot see). Admit it, human is super weak. What is “it depens in yourself?”. We even dont know much about the spiritual world, and evils and demon are stronger than mankind (if you dont talk to God humbly, you cannot recognize which is devil which is not).
And if you have time to “talk” to angels, dont you think it is better to come straight to God himself? (Angels serve God after all). I have been taught that if you try to connect to angels in a wrong way, you may invite those fallen angels to you unconciously.
Please read this post to reconsider carefully. These messages come from God.

Dear theredstar708, I also disagree with psychics and the occult but you should be aware that thewarningsecondcoming is a false prophet. An exorcist has spoken against this person, named Maria….please be careful.

  6. As a Christian, the question for me comes down to what does the Bible say about such things as divination and other occult activities are clearly condemned by God. As someone who spent eight years practicing witchcraft (and various forms of divination including Tarot, the pendulum, et al,) I know the source of power behind those activities. It is not God and certainly not angels, but deceptive spirits. Thank you for sharing your testimony Tina. 🙂

  7. When I was a New Ager & Spiritualist, I knew folks who did Tarot or Angel cards & although very accurate indeed, many folks sometimes had negative experiences, which made me question the true source of such powers. Since my conversion to Christianity in 1994, I’ve met, spoken to & read of many Psychics, Gypsies, Mediums, Witches, Luciferians & even Satanists who also had eventually questioned the source of their powers, whether Cards or other ‘divination tools.’ Those folks became Christians after they discovered their spirit ‘freinds’ were actually evil. How can we be sure the Tarot cards you have are using ‘good energies?’ Think of ‘shape-shifters’ in movies, how convincingly they can persuade others their appearance isn’t a fake disguise, but genuine! From 18 years experience, in helping folks with occult problems & even (demonic) ‘haunted houses,’ can I plz suggest Tarot is dangerous. Also, if any so called ‘angel’ ever appears to you, please properly test it, for your own safety & to ensure that he truly is one of God’s angels. Whether an entity appears to be just a ‘healing energy,’ an angel, an orb, a dead or alive human or animal spirit, fairy, alien, spirit guide, unicorn or any mythological creature, etc, plz test it! The same principle goes for any divination tool, to challenge the powers behind that tool, eg, when using the cards have you ever challenged them in Christ’s Name? Even if it’s energies ‘feel’ as if it’s full of peace & love, please still challenge it. Here’s an article I wrote that might be useful in conducting such a test. God bless you. Laura.

    • Monica says:

I do have a question though, are all readings accurate??? I’m scared they are and I’m scared the things in cards will actually happen! Please help me

      • Marcia says:

Hi, Monica! No reading is 100% accurate, And the things that sound accurate are often things said generally that the client applies specifically. There is also coincidence and the demonic guidance of the reader that accounts for something that sound accurate. Not sure why you are scared though, unless you going to a Tarot reader. If you are, you should stop.

        • Wow… you ARE fearmongering! All that really matters in life is how you treated people Making people afraid to have their own experiences and telling them how to live… is this what you are being taught is good, loving behaviour?

      • David Anderson says:

No, the reading are not accurate at all. They are hogwash, and only one can interpret anything from them. If you allow yourself to believe the false prophecy that the readings giver you, then you will fall trap to the outcomes. It’s not any different than fortune cookies or astrology charts; it’s only functional if you believe it to be true. The best fortune cookie I ever got was the last one I had, and you know what the fortune said? Nothing, because there was nothing in it. This was God showing me that he is in charge of my destiny, not cards or astrology or any of Satan’s tools of deception and control. If you want to be free, rise up in your sonship within the most High God. Take on the mantle that Yeshua has prepared for you. Receive the fire of the Holy Spirit. There is NO FEAR IN YOU, because the Spirit and the Fire of the Living God dwells within you once you ask Jesus into your life and into your heart. God wants to BLESS and PROTECT you and does not want for you to be harmed or in any danger. Know this, and say ‘I receive it’! Declare out loud, ‘I strip your power of darkness over me devil, I declare the peace and the authority and the kingdom of the Power of Jesus, and the Most High God, in my house, in my city, and in my life! Satan your plans are canceled by the blood of Jesus Christ! In Jesus Name Amen!’ Please watch this video from Kat Kerr, she is an awesome woman of God!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDpSc0iKj0k and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HtSQSeYOL4

  8. S. A. Tower says:

Nancy, The book of Acts gives us an example on “how to” destroy magical possessions by confessing our deeds before God and man and then burning them. It’s a good thing to have a Christian friend pray with you against any spiritual resistance. I personally burnt mine in a fire pit at my pastor’s home with his prayer support and accountability. “And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all.” Acts 19: 18-19

  9. Tina Storey says:

Thank you for your comments everyone. I’d also like to add that I too spent many hours in Meditation and felt very calm, I thoroughly enjoyed this practice and thought there was nothing dangerous about it. It seemed to make me more aware of ‘energies’ around me and I felt at peace with myself. When I became a Christian I learnt that Jesus didn’t want us to look inside ourselves, He wants us to look to Him. God gave us His wonderful Word which is far more fulfilling and trustworthy than our own feelings. We come to know God through His Word. I think when we truly find Jesus and accept Him we realise there is no need to go ‘within’ to seek a trance like state, we have God’s Word to look to and guide us.

In John 14:27 (KJV)Jesus tells us – “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”.

In Philippians 4:7 (KJV) – And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Looking within ourselves we will never find the peace which Jesus can offer.

The Bible doesn’t tell us to try to contact Angels, we are told to pray to God. It is God who decides to send an Angel to help us in our need, and they are said to disappear so we can’t even thank them – we are to thank God and give Him the glory.

I can certainly testify that the cards are accurate. And I guess in a fashion I was addicted to using them, I consulted them at every turn! I never at any time thought I was connected to anything evil, not at all. I loved what I did, and enjoyed reading for others. But as I said in my testimony, it was upon turning away from them that the trouble started. That’s when I learned about satan and the truth that he didn’t want to let go without a fight.

I also learned that we are not in control as we think we are. These spirits are far more powerful than we are and have the advantage over us. They do not love us, but want us to believe they are positive, helpful and friendly to keep that hold on our souls once we have opened that door to satan. But we have one more powerful on our side, the one who does truly love us, wants the best for us, who is alive and will deliver us from these evil spirits – the Lord Jesus Christ.

    • Jesus would never in a million years say “Only look to me” that’s scary to think that people believe this deception. You became more aware of energies around you during meditation because this is what meditation does, opens your eyes and minds to think bigger and to feel more. Anything that tries to close down your natural senses and perception of the world, should be avoided at all costs xx

  10. Sam Max says:

If you are a weak minded person anything can allow a bad entity to come forth. You can use Tarot cards and have a positive effect. The Bible may condemn such activities, but it also says you should put people to death including children for not obeying the Sabbath. Cherry picking the Bible is as repugnant to me as a weak person blaming a pack of cards is for summoning up Demons.

    • psychicmarstevens says:

      well said

      • Gene says:

Hello sam, I’m a new christian so forgive me but could you please point out what book and verse it says to put children to death for disobeying the sabbath. That would be a great help thank you.

          Exodus 31:15
          All your versions here
          http://biblehub.com/exodus/31-15.htm

Let’s not forget that “Thou shall not suffer a witch to live” was a verse created by good old King James who was terrified to the of witches, mostly due to his council telling him there was a secret group of witches plotting to overthrow him.

So King James took it upon himself to change the Holy Writ in order to give himself (and the clergy) some sort of legal recourse against practitioners of these so-called “dark arts.” He and his scholars wrote a new translation of the Bible, and wherever they possibly could, they stuck in condemnations of witches. And that’s where we get the King James Bible.

  11. Tina Storey says:

Hi there Sam, it’s good to meet you. I’d like to say that when I did use the Tarot Cards there were many positive effects, in fact, over the 20 years as a Reader I thoroughly enjoyed what I did and so did people who came to me. But like my and other people’s testimonies say, it is when you try to turn away from the Occult that your problems really begin, then you realise the evil you have opened yourself up to which doesn’t want to let go.

Referring to ‘strong’ or ‘weak’ minded people, I think it’s important to acknowledge that evil spirits are far more powerful than any of us, whether we’re a strong or weak person, none of us are in control when we’re dealing with these entities, we are just led to believe we are. So in fact, being a strong or weak person becomes irrelevant.

I think it’s important too to remember that many of the people giving such testimonies (myself included) had the bad experience before knowing the scripture. It was afterwards that such scriptures were brought to my attention, so basically the Bible confirmed what I had gone through. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 was one of the first ones I came across which spoke volumes to me.

I used to think that I was just using a pretty pack of cards, I liked the pictures and loved interpreting the many ways they can be dealt out in a reading. I can only conclude that it isn’t the cards in themselves which summon up demons, but the thoughts and intentions behind their use. I used to know someone who used an ordinary pack of playing cards for Divination, which leads me to conclude it’s the Divination which is dangerous (and which God warns us about) – not actually a pack of cards.

    Blessings, Tina x

    • Sam says:

Hello Tina. Why believe one book and not another? They are all written by man and man can be influenced by Demons. From what I have read in the Bible there is plenty to be disturbed about within. I trust my own intuition and not the words of another unknown source. Your experience is termed as anecdotal and people tend to form a causation link when one is not actually there. Native Americans performed rain dances and sometimes it rained. Did it rain because of the dance or did it rain anyway. Did your problems arise from Tarot or where they summoned by other factors in your life? How do you account for the tens of thousands of people that use divination and have no ill effects? Or the So called Christian people that have to have an exorcism when they have never practiced divination.
Thank you for your blessings I offer mine back to you also.

      • Marcia says:

Sam, demons would hardly write a book that calls for worship of God and tells us how Jesus defeated the power of Satan in the lives of those who believe (and one day will throw Satan into the lake of fire). Many do divination and have no ill effects, that’s true. Could be because they are ignoring the effects (some continue with these practices despite having frightening experiences – this was the case with me) or that God has allowed them to do what they want since they have ignored God and continued to do it. If someone is bothered, it’s a sign of God’s grace allowing the person to realize that the practice is evil.

        • Samuel The Divinest says:

I disagree as we do not know which God or indeed a Demon the book requires us to worship. If the Bible makes people do bad things in its name as it clearly does and has then by the normal realms of logic the Bible is Demon possessed. Please stop quoting from a book that has dubious origins you are clearly either not understanding this concept or you are being used as a vessel of the Great lie. Be strong, Blessings Sam x

          • Marcia says:

What is your standard/source for truth if you think the Bible is false?

            • Samuel He Speaketh His Own Mind says:

              Dear Marcia,
If you have to ask you have not been listening. Blessings Samuel x

              • Marcia says:

If you can’t answer, then you don’t have one. I don’t see in your comments what your standard for truth is.

                • Samuel He Speaketh His Own Mind says:

                  Dear Marcia,
Why thank you for making up my own mind for me. I can see why you cling to your book of lies as it requires no thinking on your part. That is what I love about Christianity it’s proponents’ seem to carry so little of it in their souls.
Marcia if there is anger in your heart then this Bible is not working for you. Try love and kindness like I do and set your spirit free. Blessings Samuel x

                  • Marcia says:

Sam, your response to my question was this:” If you have to ask you have not been listening.”
That is not an answer and you still refuse to give one. If I was rude, I heartily apologize. I can only conclude you have no source or standard of truth except for maybe a subjective one.

  12. Tina Storey says:

    Hi Sam
Thanks again for your reply. Firstly, I do believe that the Bible was inspired by God. I don’t believe it is an unknown source. The scriptures of God warning us about divination, etc. I can fully understand as they relate to what happened to me.

My testimony is a simple description of my experience after I turned away from the Occult to Jesus Christ. Reading other people’s testimonies who were declaring similar things which had happened to them when trying to get out of the Occult, helped me to understand what had happened to me, as at the time I’d never even heard of Deliverance. But the truth is that this spirit did flee at the name of Jesus Christ – and that’s the important thing. Spirits do flee at the mention of His name. And this is something that other Ex Occultists have also learned and are now declaring. It is mentioned in the Bible about Jesus casting out demons, and the truth is that He is still doing it today. Evil is very real, and is afraid of the Living Christ.

As for the people who do divination and have to ill effects, all I can say that I too had no ill effects until I tried to stop doing it. Like I mentioned in my last reply, my experience was very positive when I was into divination.

As for the Christians who have needed an Exorcism but never done divination, I would say that there are other things which open us up to the demonic besides divination, they could have been into a whole range of things which have opened them up to something demonic.

Could I ask what your own beliefs are Sam?

    God bless+
    Tina x

    • Samuel The Divinest says:

Dear Tina if as you said the Bible was inspired by God then by definition it was “Channeled” to man. Therefore we have no idea if it was God or the Devil sending the signal to inspire the writers. Many people believe many things and you believe that a benevolent spirit channeled the information. Believing something unfortunately does not make it true. So quoting lines and chapters from a book of dubious origin is hardly inspiring when as I have already said the Book you quote from may not be the divine word of God. It comes down to this you say it is I say it is not.
Finally the best way to subvert a message is to insert some good into it to hide the bad. The Bible does that all the time. One minute it is killing people for working on the Sabbath and the next it is love thy enemy. My biggest problem is from the Ten commandments. “No other Gods” yet in the new testament up springs Jesus. No mention of Jesus coming in the Old and writing Jesus in the new testament does not negate the fact that the old clearly states no other God. So if I was to write a new book claiming I am God and explaining that God was tired of the trinity so he decided to add a fourth the father the son the holy ghost and the divinest of all Samuel then bingo I am the new messiah. You can not prove the source of the Bible by quoting passages of it. That makes no sense. Blessings Samuel x

    • Samuel He Speaketh His Own Mind says:

      Dear Tina,
I believe in the Divine Spirit of the Cosmos. You call him God and I have no problem with that. I have a problem with the works of man. I trust what the spirit tells me is good and divine. Perhaps you crave the sense of belonging that church might give you on a superficial level. If you can not listen and trust God that speaks to you from within then you must strive to do that and not be lead by the nose by man.

    • Exactly Tina.. so how can you state that those energies came from the cards? You really can’t. There are too many variables. Other people know from experience that it is our own energies that attract darkness or light… what we put out, comes back to us tenfold…

      • Chantelle Greene says:

I agree Nadine! It makes little sense to jump to such a conclusion. It is about the energy we put out, and hence, attract into our lives. Religious circles tend to forget the universal laws such as the law of attraction, in their sweeping statements.

  13. Marcia says:

I am a former professional astrologer and New Ager who had Tarot cards (though I did not read them for others) and had many do Tarot Card readings for me (as well psychic readings, numerology, and also a bit of contacting the dead). Tarot Cards, no matter what you think the images may represent, are man made pictures and are used for divination. The only angels that will respond to any attempt for contact will be fallen angels. Divination is strongly denounced and forbidden by God (see Deut. 18:10-12) and in Acts 16:16ff, God shows us that demons are the root of divination when the fortunetelling girl has a demon cast out.
God has provided what we need to know in the Bible and his word is sufficient. Dabbling with, reading, or consulting one who reads Tarot is going against God and opening one’s self to demonic influence. Imo it is not the cards that are evil in and of themselves, but trying to get a message from them. Seeking hidden meaning or messages from images, the natural world, or disembodied entities is divination. (I do advise people turning away from Tarot cards to get rid of them as they can be a source of temptation).
If you choose to ignore God’s warning, you will regret it. The most important message from God is not a hidden one, but the message brought by the Messiah, the Son of God, who came to pay the penalty for sins and give eternal life to those who believe. “”You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life ; it is these that testify about Me; 40 and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.” John 6:39-40

  14. Tina Storey says:

Sam, Marcia has been listening and is speaking in love, kindness and truth. I too have been listening to you and I also can’t see where you’ve given an answer to Marcia’s question as to where your standard/source for truth is if it isn’t the Bible. If we’re speaking in love and sharing then we’re certainly listening and waiting to hear from you. I would be interested to know too. I’d also like to ask again what your beliefs are Sam? It helps if we know where each other is at spiritually.

I would agree with what Marcia said, that demons won’t write a book which calls us to worship God, a book which leads us to Jesus Christ. Yes I do believe that the Bible was inspired by God, and we can be sure it was from the one true God, because no other ‘god’ would lead us to know Jesus Christ. And it’s all about Jesus.

You say your biggest problem is from the Ten commandments – “No other Gods”. This needn’t be a problem (Jesus IS Lord). Today we can allow many things to become gods to us. Money, fame, work, or pleasure can become gods when we concentrate too much on them for personal identity, meaning and security. No-one sets out with the intention of worshipping these things. But by the amount of time we devote to them, they can grow into gods that ultimately control our thoughts and energies. Letting God hold the central place in our lives keeps these things from turning into gods.
You say there is no mention of Jesus coming in the Old Testament – actually if we take the time to read our Bibles we’ll see that there is very much mention of Jesus coming in the Old Testament, many prophecies in the Old Testament which Jesus fulfilled. Let me give a few examples . . .

Messiah to be born in Bethlehem – Micah 5:2
Messiah was to be born of a virgin – Isaiah 7:14
Messiah was to be rejected by His own people – Isaiah 53:1,3. Psalm 118:22
Messiah was to be betrayed by one of His followers – Psalm 41:9
Messiah was to be tried and condemned – Isaiah 53:8
Messiah’s bones were not to be broken – Exodus – 12:46
    Messiah was to die as a sacrifice for sin – Isaiah 53:5, 6, 8, 10, 12.
    . . . . And there’s more.

God speaks to us by His Word, He reveals Himself to us through His Word – which leads us to Jesus Christ – who never changes (Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever). But if we look within ourselves to our own feelings and ‘intuition’ we will find that this is not reliable as our feelings change. God never changes.

I hope I haven’t said too much – I could go on forever! I hope you take the time to look up the scriptures I’ve written and delve into God’s Word. I hope the Holy Spirit opens your heart to His living Word so your heart is on fire and wants to know more of Him who loves you. xx

I’ve been a tarot card reader for some time now and I believe that you have to follow cetain rules that are stated in the instruction manual I.E. Cleanse the cards of negative energy which will stop the unwanted guest’s that you mentioned. Never let anyone else touch them as it can infect them. As the tarot cards pick the user not the other way round.

  17. Tina Storey says:

Hi Felix, it’s good to meet you. I was also a Torot Card Reader, for 20 years, so of course I was aware of certain ‘rules’ about negative energies, cleansing, etc. Now I understand that Divination does connect us to evil spirits, I can see that it would be a good thing to question: when people speak of ‘cleansing’ the cards, do they really believe it is ourselves who have the power to do so? If it isn’t us who ‘cleanses’ the cards – then who or what is it?

Also, I would also now ask, if the Tarot Cards are capable of ‘picking the user’ then that must be saying that they are alive and have some sort of consciousness . . . so it is worth asking, what is this consciousness? A spirit? . . . What do you really believe gives the cards this ability? . . . All worth questioning . . . .

    • It is intuition they are speaking of! Our own intuition picks the cards… this is what they mean. People take things too literally….

Nadine, all your comments on this subject have been stellar and intelligent. A woman after my own heart. Agree with you 100% on all counts. Mind marrying me? 🙂

        • Lahla says:

Please do & invite me! I love celebrations!! I thought I was the only one reading this far into these comments looking for voices of reason. How can so many bible readers skip the parts of the the bible that tell them to meditate. The bible has prophets, dream interpreters, and angels but they seemed to have skipped those parts too. In Leviticus practically everyone is condemned to death for 1 reason or another. To each his own.

  18. Felix says:

To answer your question on about is it us or something else that cleanse’s the cards I truly don’t know I bathe mine in the moonlight during the full moon, and to answer the second one it was like I was drawn to a certain deck It could be it was my unconscious mind that wanted that deck we really don’t know but things happen for a reason. Are tarot cards dangerous well anything can be dangerous if not used right I’m not saying you didn’t use them right, even thou I have had my deck for some time I still am learning new things I have been reading various documents stating different peoples experiences and I was advised to keep my deck with me for the first two weeks.

    • Tina Storey says:

      Hi Felix

Many thanks for your reply, sorry I sometimes take a long time to reply. Looking again at ‘cleansing’ the cards, I would ask, if I don’t know who or what I think is doing the cleansing, how do I know I can trust it? In your first comment you mention that it is the cards which choose you, but now I’m reading that it’s your unconscious mind which chose the cards (??), so again it’s something uncertain, something we can’t know for sure, something we can’t really trust.

Again if we look at the Bible, Deuteronomy 18:10-12, and others, where God warns us about Divination (Fortune Telling) because it opens us up to demonic influences, then there isn’t actually a right or wrong way to deal with Satan, evil is evil, that’s not good whichever way we look at it.

God wants us to trust Him, He doesn’t want to keep Himself hidden – like Satan does, keeping us from knowing the true spiritual power behind these activities – God wants us to know Him and He wants us to have a relationship with Him, and free us from abilities that Satan has given us, to replace them with His beautiful gifts.

      • May I ask why if you say god doesn’t want to stay hidden, then why does religion teach that no man should seek his guidance? Or to look inside himself? We all have the spark of divine spirit within. So to advise people to not look within, seems that that would be meaning he DOES want to stay hidden…

        • Tina Storey says:

Yes of course you may ask Nadine. Christianity doesn’t teach us not to seek God’s guidance – God wants us to seek Him and to know Him through the Bible.

You mention the ‘divine spark within’, The Bible tells us that we are separated from God by our sins. Looking within ourselves can open us up to spiritual realms where there are familiar spirits (demons).

          • Lahla says:

Separated by our sins… I thought it said Jesus dies for our sins. I also thought God was in each of us-which is why we need to look inside. Prayer is the opportunity to speak to God, meditation is the opportunity to listen to God. Funny how it is so hard for people to meditate.

            • Passing thru says:

I too am considered a Christian and have been following the post. I will honestly say that I do not know anything about Tarot Cards, guess that’s why I am here. BUT Lahla is correct, the Bible DOES talk about meditating, and it is a way to hear from God (Psalms 4:4), but there are specific focuses that the Bible calls for to stay away from dangers (Joshua 1:8, Phil 4:8). Also, we are gods (the bible speaks of this)(John 10:34). We were made in his image. Does that mean dabbling in the spirit world aimlessly is OK? I don’t think so. I believe the restraints are for our own good. But just wanted to add my two cents… meditation is an important part of Christianity.

  19. Dave says:

I had read Tarot cards for some 35 years before I gave them up. They are not in themselves dangerous, but in learning them, you need to take a lot of time not to assume you understand more than you do. One way is to talk about all the possible interpretations of a layout, of each card in the position it’s in. Because sometimes the first thing that jumps into your head is not the best interpretation.

  20. Tina Storey says:

    Hi Dave

Yes, the Cards in themselves are not dangerous – what the Bible warns us about is the practice of Divination (Fortune Telling) which is dangerous, because it opens us up to the demonic and allows Satan into our lives (See other people’s testimonies too). The cards are just a ‘tool’, used to open us up to the demonic. See Deuteronomy 18:10-12 in the Bible:

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD.

The living God doesn’t want us to attempt to look into the future, only He knows the future, and He warns us not to try to do this for good reason. He loves us and doesn’t want us to open ourselves up to demonic influences. So you see, it isn’t about interpretations, it’s the very act of Divination (whether it be with ordinary playing cards or whatever) which we are warned about. We don’t need to try to see the future, the God who created us wants us to look to Him, put our trust in Him and wants us to know Him.

Take a look at other people’s testimony’s too, there’s many people saying how they too have discovered the truth in God’s Word, that Divination does indeed connect us to evil spirits.

    • Lahla says:

Prophets who use their abilities to manipulate people or lie about their abilities in order to trick people are called fortune tellers & false prophets. However, the bible praises dream interpreters and true prophets. Joseph interpreted the Kings dreams. He also received plans for his own life via dreams. Samuel the prophet was trained by Eli. The prophet Malachi left warnings and predictions of another prophet. There are many more but its a play on words-dream interpreter/fortune teller/medium, prophet/psychic

  23. Meghan says:

This is an interesting read, but there is one historical detail you failed to acknowledge-Tarot cards are not an occult invention, they were originally playing cards. Today’s modern playing card decks are directly influenced by them. There’s four suits in both card types with cards 1-10 (1 being the ace) & 4 “people” cards (king, queen, prince, & joker). There used to be a knight instead of fools, but in modern decks the knight isn’t present anymore. People merely started trying different things with the cards. To say they are evil is a general statement. Humans are capable of using anything to commit sin and control others. The word of the Bible has been used as a tool for harm, so has the Quran, and about any holy text out there. Jesus says to love thy neighbor, also I may mention Luke 6:37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” It’s easy to throw around quotes & hand pick things that best fit your own cause, but all in all Jesus’ teachings overall tell us to love one another, not tell others what to think of others. Tarot cards are merely cards with general meanings attached to the cards that can easily be applied to anyone’s life. It’s all up to the reader to make the connections. I’m not attempting to invalidate anybody else’s experiences with tarot, I’m merely stating how they always seem “to be right”. If I were to pull a card out of my deck now, I could easily it (out of 72 cards) and it would be relevant to my life. However, I do respect anyone’s opinion on the subject. All I ask is that before people try to point fingers and cry “damnable divination” is that they first do a bit of research.

  24. Tina Storey says:

    Hi Meghan

Good to meet you. Firstly I’d like to say that it isn’t necessary to detail the history of any cards. I knew many people who used the Tarot who wouldn’t have been able to tell us about their origins, they are still doing divination – which is dangerous. People who came for readings generally didn’t ask, so even some readers don’t look into the origins.

I also knew people who used ordinary playing cards for divination (and I know people who use ordinary playing cards for playing card games too), again there are very few people who go into the origins of any type of cards. If ordinary playing cards are used for divination, again, it is a dangerous practice that they are using them for.

But it isn’t the cards themselves that are dangerous, it the act of divination which is (as already stated in the previous comments if we go back and read them). As for throwing around Bible quotes and hand picking what suits our own cause, I learned from the bad experience first – I didn’t know any Bible scriptures about this at the time, I just realised something bad was going on. I learned afterwards that there were Bible scriptures warning us about such things, and for those of us who have experienced it first hand, we know beyond doubt that these scriptures are true and very real warnings. So it isn’t ‘cherry picking’ to suit ourselves, we know it to be true because of the experience.

Those of us Ex Occultists who take the time to write our testimonies and always ‘seem to be right’, remember we have taken the time to write it for a reason; we have experienced the very real dangers of divination and other Occult practices, we want to warn others about it and want them to know the truth about it. We have also discovered that the evil we have opened ourselves up to will flee at the name of Jesus Christ. He is truly alive and He is the only one whom we are able to call upon to deliver us from the forces of darkness. A Christian testimony to the glory of Jesus Christ doesn’t ‘fail’ in anything. God bless+

I was born into a Christian family and our lives centered around church life , I have read the Bible many times from cover to cover during those first 17 year of devote Christian life . It was never an enjoyable experience for me , there were many abusive people in the church and as young kids many of us were sexually abused there often times during bible studies and often times having Bible verses quote to us while the abuse was taking place. As years went by and we ( the group of us that were being abused ) began to get older and make attempts to get out of this thing called Christianity we did the only thing we knew how to do and that is pray . I noticed the more I prayed about it the more I got clear direction what to do. I would hear a voice and have clear dreams telling me what to do to keep myself safe from this and the other kids , also who to tell and not to tell , and many other things . After a while myself and some of the other kids to manage to get away from this . Once freed from this Christian religion I never looked back , the voice that helped me escape the horrors of that life is still with me today and helps me with every single client I see.

Excuse my bad and simple english, i’m trying to use proper english words.

It is scary to see people try to justify what God clearly already said NO. When I was still a kid, my sister and I played with card (not tarot just gambling card if u know what i mean) we use it for divination and fun. guess what, it became real! It got us hooked for a short time (2 or 3 days) before we realised it’s not good (evil). No one knows about this even our parents, no one told us we shouldn’t do that, but because God is our Lord and He is good, He reminded us it’s bad, we stop because we felt something evil. My sis and I got some after effect from them, I dont remember clearly anymore. My sister is sensitive to that kind of thing.

Guys, do not compromise, if He said NO then NO. Evil is evil. Throw all of those things. All or nothing. God doesn’t want anything lukewarm. Christian and also a tarot reader? We cant serve two masters. Pray and read the bible. He will reveal it all to you.

Thanks Tina for your testimony. God bless you all. God loves you.

  27. Hi Nancy, regarding seeing a black shadow that is negative & has been following you since you used cards, can I suggest the following? When using the cards have you ever challenged them in Christ’s Name? Whether an entity feels negative, or even if it’s energies ‘feel’ as if it’s full of peace & love, please still challenge it. Here’s an article I wrote that might be useful in conducting such a challenge. http://yourspiritualquest.wordpress.com/2013/03/14/test-the-spirits-angels-all-that-glitters-is-not-gold/ Also, if you need help banishing it from your home, pls contact my friend Michael Cummins, he has 15 years experience in doing this, he cleanse ‘haunted homes’ too. His details are also on my blog, see above link & type his name in the search. God bless you. Laura.

hi i keep getting my tarrots done for my life as i have somnay unanswered questions. I want to stop as I am a christiam and i know its wrong. However getting my tarot done has become an addiction. what should I do?

    • Marcia says:

Poi, if you know it is wrong and you are a Christian, you can ask Christ for strength to stop. You can’t do it on your own. So it’s very important to ask for help, and maybe ask for help from a mature Christian friend. Ask this friend to pray for you and perhaps to come over and you can throw the cards away together. I guarantee you that you will regret it if you do not stop, especially since you know it’s wrong. It will affect you in negative ways and damage your Christian walk and faith. God has condemned occult divination, which is what these cards are. You are playing around with something not from God but Christ is more than able to help you stop. Turn to Him.

      • poi says:

No no I donot have or ever used tarrots cards but I went to a professional reader and astrologer to find out things…I feel bad already and will seek help n prayer. I hope these things donot cause curses…feeling so bad as I love God.

        • Marcia says:

Yes, seek help in prayer. Going to psychics or card readers/astrologers/mediums can be addictive. No, it will not cause curses – curses in the bible are God’s judgment on sin. But since this is an addiction, that is an issue that is sort of like a curse, but you brought it on yourself. Occult practices can have holds on people (or seeing people who practice them) so you need supernatural help from Christ. I would also advise you to read your Bible every day and even to memorize some Scriptures to help overcome this.

  29. Jesus! says:

For all of you Christians who are replying to the tarot card lovers and sinful people who are challenging your beliefs, just stop responding to them because you are only letting their evil familiar spirits get a chance to get closer to you. If you believed all that you do then you would be smart enough to know this.

    • Marcia says:

Actually, replying to people does not necessarily draw evil spirits and as a Christian, I am not to fear them. Nothing in the Bible tells Christians to be afraid of Satan or evil spirits, only to be vigilant, prudent, and discerning. James 4:7 says: ” Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” Submitting to God is the key. When Christians are trusting God they have nothing to fear. Besides, Jesus has power over all powers, rulers, and authorities, both in heaven and on earth.

  30. Jesus! says:

Let Sam be Sam. Remember that you were also once ‘Sam’ Pray for your enemies.

  31. mahdieh says:

what an amazing story and it is true as it happens to me. I am still doing witchcraft only healing and protection from evil spells and i wonder if that is still bad and its still evil ?? I use star shaped pentacle and i wonder if that is still evil just because on web said that star shaped pentacle is symbol of christian representing 5 wounds of jesus until throughout the thousands of years the symbol changed into cross as people thought its evil. Help please i am christian but i am also being pulled by doing good spells !!!

    • Marcia says:

Mahdieh, there is no such thing as a good spell. Witchcraft and doing spells attract evil spirits to you and keep you from knowing God. Even if the pentacle was once used to represent the wounds of Christ, now you are using it in connection with witchcraft but what is really dangerous is the witchcraft, not the symbol.

      • Tina Storey says:

Hi Mahdieh, I remember when I first became a Christian, at night I had several visions of the Pentacle blazing with fire at the foot of my bed – this was also a time when I was still into the Tarot Cards – even as a Christian. I didn’t even know about this symbol then, I’d never even used it so I don’t know why this happened to me, but I instinctively knew this was the eye of evil. I knew not to look directly at it. I kept praying and thinking about Jesus, eventually I fell to sleep. It didn’t happen again. Now of course I know this symbol is assiciated with witchcraft, and i was right, it brought evil.

    • Nadine says:

Your intention is what matters Mahdieh… if you have positive, loving intentions, then you will manifest positive and loving outcomes. If your intentions are negative, you will manifest negative outcomes…
      xx

      • Tina Storey says:

Positive and loving intentions have nothing to do with it Nadine. I was very positive, loving and caring as a Tarot Card Reader, and I discovered that the spirits themselves have an intelligence and a will of their own – regardless of how you feel – and these beings do not love you whatsoever.

  32. carol says:

I agree with the tarot that it is a divination tool and forbiden by the bible. However, I am confused because there are decks that are not exactly for fortune telling such as dayly positve menssages/ some with short passages of the bible or angel cards that may advice you to do good things (drink more water, spend more time with family, pray..etc), are those also bad???

    • Marcia says:

It doesn’t matter what the cards look like or if they have Bible passages on them. If you want Bible passages, read the Bible. Choosing a card as though that card’s message is meant for you is still a form of divination. Angels cards are totally New Age and not Christian. Christians do not get their advice or teaching from angels but from the Bible. No one needs a deck of any cards as a source of advice. I hope this answers your question.

      • carol says:

I know that nowadays we take for granted to have a bible,(withouth thinking too much that initially was very expensive and just a few people had access to it).

However, would have happened if the Romans had not invented the books and only had invented decks?.According to my reasoning we would have to rely only on decks to read the bible, right?. So, why not to read short passages of the bible using decks?.

I think that it is likely that some of new age “oracles” may have taken wisdom words from the bible and perhaps as a way of ” marketing” they say that are from angels. Some people may believe 100% that they are communicating with angels, and others may just use to read as a way to read short , key positive messages without really thinking that they are having connection with angels or other entities. Would it be still wrong using those decks in that way????

      • cat says:

I understand how you feel, however, there are christian church groups around my area who give out little cards with passages from the bible and other well being advice in booklets themselves so they can’t possibly be any different from picking up a full bible

    • Chantelle Greene says:

Most tarot readers actually do not do fortune telling Carol. The tarot is for the purpose of uplifting a person, not to predict the future!

  33. Tina Storey says:

Hi Carol, nice to meet you. Marcia is absolutely right, choosing a card at random believing it is a message for you is still a form of divination. Any cards which are used in this manner (including Angel Cards) is divination – they’re just using different pictures. The Bible doesn’t tell us to try to contact Angels, we are told to pray to God in the name of Jesus. When we start reading the Bible, and read more of Jesus’ teachings, it is far deeper and more meaningful than what any cards could offer. We find that Jesus is far more fulfilling, we simply don’t need cards when we have the teachings of Jesus to look to. May He bless you. xx

So far for me it is still a gray line. For example, many people get daily messages in their facebook wall with advices , others will use google “how to be happy ..etc”, and many people follow those advice. Would they also be considered a form of divination ????. In fact, the bible dont mention to trust google of fb’s wall.

    • Marcia says:

Carol, although I don’t necessarily recommend advice from a Facebook wall, it is coming from people. Consider the source here. When you seek advice using cards or another object. To do so indicates a belief or trust in some kind of hidden message or supernatural being guiding the cards. This is what divination is, and the supernatural being behind the cards is not God or a good angel. It is from the demonic realm.

      • The bible also came from people, where is the distinction?

        • Marcia says:

The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit – men wrote under this inspiration. If men had written it, they would not have made man look so bad and needy. Of course, people choose to reject the Bible as God’s word all the time. I did for many, many years, only becoming a Christian in my 40s. The tarot readings are not from God. I urge you to sit down and just read one of the gospels, a bit each day, and see what happens.

          • Every book in history is inspired by the holy spirit.. because we are all from spirit 🙂

          • I would become brainwashed and unable to think for myself. I prefer to know myself… therefore in knowing myself, I don’t need to be told how to live and what to do. When you know yourself, you are guided from within…

            • In fact, I take that back! I have reached a point in my own development of self, where I could never be brainwashed now… but in reading the book, which is full of fear and hatred and fearmongering, I would not enjoy reading it…
I did actually own a bible as a child though. I threw it in the bin after reading a story about how black people are black because they had sinned and that was their punishment! I’d rather stay far away from that kind of “love”

              • Nadine says:

Also, in response to what you say about men not writing the bible because they wouldn’t have made man look needy… there are millions of love songs written by man, that makes them look needy! 😀

    • Rev. Keating McFarland says:

      Hello Carol,
What most people fail to understand is that any form of worship, be it asking god for help, tarot, runes, etc. is, in fact divination. The prefix is from the word divine. So thus, any spiritual interaction where you take knowledge away from it is divination. Please read my comment on this page about the true nature of Tarot if you would like more information.
      Many blessings,
      Rev. Keating McFarland

  36. carol says:

I believe that companies who sell those cards can “claim that the source are angels etc “, when really the source is another human being .
On the other hand, people who use them , not necessarily”have to” believe that the source are super natural, but they may use them thinking that reading positive messages is better than read a newspaper.

    • Tina Storey says:

Hi there Carol, It is always good to be reading your Bible, learning God’s Word – as long as it is not used as an ‘oracle’ – like one is trying to consult some spiritual being for a message or prediction of some sort.

The people who believe they are communicating with Angels of course need to know that this is Satan’s deception, it is a form of divination, and that they not communicating with Angels at all but demons. People use such cards for divination purposes which again, the Bible warns us about. As it’s already been mentioned the Bible doesn’t tell us to try to contact Angels, but many people don’t know this.

I’m reminded of the inspirational booklets such as ‘Our Daily Bread’ and ‘Word For Today’ which isn’t used as any sort of ‘oracle’, not used as a ‘prediction’ for the day, not trying to communicate with Angels or anything, it’s just to be reminded of God’s Word, God’s promises as written in the Bible and to be reminded of His love for all of us.

      • But people would say the same about yourself Tina. That who you pray to and are subservient to, could easily be deceiving you…
        it’s a never ending cycle… live and let live…

I have to honestly admit that I wondered if I was being deceived from the beginning,( and the whole time I was consulting them), that my situation would crash and burn, WHICH IT DID, I was also miserable along the way, and the other people involved were making me miserable, in specific ways that particularly hurt me-all my soft spots seemed to be under attack all the time, but I thought it may be something I had to go through to achieve , what I thought would be, my blessed result. Plus, while I was consulting, I would get really pleasantly surprised , therefore inspired , by answers I did not expect, keeping me hoping to an ecstatic degree a lot of the time. Well, I’ve never been more hurt, insulted, humiliated, let down, and downright screwed over in all of my life. Every part of my being, and everything I hold sacred and dear has been attacked and trashed. If I were a weaker person who didn’t already know God, I might consider suicide . I mean this is emotional pain that has made me so sick, it is almost unbearable .But I am a strong person , a Christian. I am not going to the doctor for this, I am going to the alter. I am going to the alter to ask forgiveness and to also ask that the people involved(even though they hurt me to the point of psychological damage) to be released from any influence because of my contacting these evil spirits. One of the people even said he felt this pressure, and strangely, I always felt as if someone else was there, when I was ALONE with this person ! I cared for this person the most, and he hurt me the most, in more ways than anyone ever has. He is a Christian too, but he said horrible things and behaved in horrible ways. I have come to understand that if you pursue these predictions(yes we’ve got the free will) from ungodly sources, that God may just allow the predictions you pursue to come true, which ultimately comes to ruin since it is not His plan for you. So there you are in this endless cycle of pursuing, instead of being in God’s rest of “be anxious for nothing”, like you’re supposed to. So now I have a completely shattered heart. But I’m going to God about it, because He can fix anything and everything. Maybe God will turn things around and heal this situation of mangled relationships(with me, not with each other , interestingly) that resulted in my pursuing this evil thing. I have prayed individually for each person in this group of people to be released from any influence . I truly cared for and loved this one person especially, and actually never felt so deeply for anyone in my entire life, as this. I felt strongly that God had introduced us. My experience is a classic example of what can happen if you stray from WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS. Since you’re reading this, brothers and sisters, please help me pray that my situation be healed, as I’ll be praying for all of you.

Wow, Elizabeth, what a story and testimony! I have long warned Christians that going into these areas, even in a minor way such as consulting a psychic one time, can bring devastating results and/or a slow drift from God and pull into some false beliefs. Thank you for sharing your story. It is a story that shows not only the dangers of the tarot, but also of the grace of God who preserved you through this so that you are turning back to Him and praying for others. Keep trusting in how God will heal you and restore you; He is faithful even when we are not.

    • lostchild says:

to elizabeth: your situation seems to be similar to mine. only I did get suicidal.
I’m praying for my forgiveness and to restore myself. I’ve prayed for you when I read your comment. I truly hope you’re doing better now and also that person who means so much to you. God help us all. take care

can someone tell me what divination means for you? you keep talking about that and as i read i realise the problem are not the tarot cards, as they are only a tool for this “Divination” thing…i’m a spiritual person, born with special “gifts” also a christian, but i don’t agree with all the aspects of christianity, since some of them are a little extreme..i’ve been seeing dead people relatives especially, more as a child, and i have dreams of persons dying few days before they do..does that make me evil? no i don’t use anything..i’ve been thinking recently of tarot cards, not sure if they really are of any use, just like the horoscope, but i haven’t buy them or read them…you said medium are evil and occult..if you’re born with that does that make you evil..that’s why i say it’s extremist..not to mention the priest from my church said to a woman (who’s man had drinking problems) that he’s possesed!! really? is this how you do it? i’m a christian too but i don’t go around blaming devil for my bad decisions…i haven’t had any contact with occultism but i’ve been feeling and seeing presence all my life, and iv’e been protected many times from harm, my mom always tells me it’s because i have the same name as archangel Michael (my name is Michaela) not all the presance are evil..i see a medium as a very special person who can be connected to both worlds..how is that evil? it’s a gift and a curse at the same but there’s nothing evil in that so stop saying mediums are evil..it’s not like their choice to see it of not..and that’s not something to be afraid of..even the bible say fear comes from the devil..i belive this soo called “Divination” has something to do with your intentions..if you have good intentions why would something evil come to you even reading some plastic cards? it’s the energy you work with..and if you see shadows or such that doesn’t mean right away you are dealing with a demon..if ordinary people see someone levitating or using telekinesis (witch by the way i had as a kid) they assume right away it’s the devil working because they are afraid of what they can’t understand or explain..so they blame someone! and again no i haven’t activate anything i haven’t contacted anyone, i haven’t read any tarot or stuff…i just have some unusual “gift”! now try to explain that! what would you say first as a devoted christian about me? that i’m a creature of the devil or something like that? noo, i pray alot, yes i belive in God i don’t belive soo much in church..why? cuz it’s manipulated by humans..i also have strong intuition and it’s 100% accurate.. i belive in God as a higher divinity, we are made by God and he gave us the power to heal, and make our own choices, he’s not forcing us to do anything, people are forceful, they what you to belive whatever it’s convinient for them to control you even the church is doing this sometimes! that’s why i don’t trust people to tell me what to do i trust my own intuition, because i know God put a dim of light in every human, IT gave us the resources we need in ourselfs and it’s helping us every time we call it, higher divinity, budda, etc whatever you want to all it..every religion has a part of truth, none of it it’s entirely the absolute religoin! there’s no such thing and you can’t tell me a good kind person who never did harm but didn’t know christianity due to another culture is good to go to hell..it’s one of the things church say and i don’t agree with..i’ve seen religious persons going to church every day, feeling soo superiour and never had mercy or give anyithing to the poor ar speaking bad words…the soul, the energy comes from you, not from your religion! i don’t belive God say not to look inside you, it’s the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard! you must look inside you to see what kind of person you are what are your intentions and feeling, and ask for God to guide you, of the higher divinity how you like to call it! my point is just because you don’t understand sometihing don’t judge it like it’s evil and blame the devil for it..there are demon, bad enery, yes but they come if you summon them, if you invate them in..it’s still up to you in the need why whould you work with and entity you don’t know? anyways stop blaming mediums and calling the witches or devil worshiper, they are not doing any harm, at least the real ones..sure the rest will pretend they invoke dead people to milk the money out of people,as well there are fake profets speaking in the name of God to manipulate people…. real mediums don’t have such selfish intentions, they just happen to see visions or spirits involuntary it’s not their fault and it’s not something to fear about and to be ashamed..also it’s not something you can shut down

  39. Marcia says:

mika11: Divination is trying to get information by reading a hidden meaning in images, nature, natural objects, mirror/crystal, really any object and/or by using a paranormal “ability” such as psychic powers. Intention does not matter. All divination is wrong and condemned by God. Prophets in the Bible were given direct revelation by God when God wanted them to have it; prophets did not have abilities nor were born with any special “gift” to get information. No one is truly born with occult powers but may experience them quite young. It is Satan’s way to lure one in and the lie that you are born with this or that it’s from God is just that – a deception.

I don’t think anyone here has called any psychic or witch a devil worshiper. In fact, I just did a word search here and you used the word “devil” more than anyone else. That is a straw man. Don’t make false accusations.

    • mika11 says:

so you are saying that my visions come from satan..even tho i’m praying to God and i have nothing to do with devil..that’s why i’m saying you guys are delusional…not every supernatural power is from the devil, how do you know it’s not from God? are you soo sure? i feel God and it’s love in my heart every time..i pray every time, i’m helping people all the time..you’re saying this because you don’t understand..you don’t have this ability so you can’t understand what it’s like, i don’t expect you to understand but i don’t want to be judge in a wrong way…back in the time christians used to burn women that they assume to be witches, even if they were doing some herb medicine!! did God commanded them to do so? they did it out of fear, fear put but the devil…you said i said his names too many times..how should i refer to..”the one who shouldn’t be named”? why are you afraid or something? have i made false accusations? no! you prove me that i didn’t…when i was a child i talked with my dead grandparents..back then i didn’t realise they were dead they just appeared to me…my friend also died from cancer and she appeard to me and even rescued me from an accident..i had visions from the future and the image of Jesus appeard in them..and they all camed true..why i see this? i don’t know..i’m not doing any divinations and i don’t ask to see anything..it just happens..and i’m pretty sure they are not from the devil, i don’t see the point of him showing this to me, what profeths had was a “Gift”! don’t be hypocrite…it’s ok to be christian and to have a kind heart, it’s NOT ok to be fanatic…there’s a big difference trust me! you might wanna look into it

      • lostchild says:

to mika11: Your comment just helped me a little. I was pretty confused here. If you just have the visions for yourself and you don’t try any of that occult stuff, whatever… I don’t think it’s evil, either.
        I agree.
Jeanne d’ arc wasn’t evil. She was loyal to God and yet she was killed by the christians.
But I believe it may be also true we shouldn’t seek for divination.
I mean, if God wants you to predict something, he’ll let you know. If we want to talk to him, we pray, we don’t play cards… that can contact something else. I say this because I’ve made that mistake myself. I was stupid and it didn’t turn alright to me… until today. unfortunately. God forgive me.

So… I think you have a point. But don’t be upset at those people who are afraid of your opinnion. They’re not afraid of you, they’re afraid of evil and sometimes, when we’re afraid of something, we see it eveywhere, even when it’s not there.

        to everyone else:
But people, please remember our lord Jesus Christ also said that we would be judged the same way we judge the others. So believe me, I know…! Do not judge people at all! Judging belongs to God, not us.
And not everything and everyone who doesn’t agree with you is friends with evil.
We’re humans, no matter how hard we pray, how strict we are, we ALL fail, we ALL sin! What really matters is that we love each other and forgive each other and respect each other no matter how different we are.
God bless us all. Take care, everyone.

      • WillB says:

Amen Mika….people seem to not see that as God does not change and is the beginning and the end, the prophets and apostles were also channeling of sort. gifts I do agree. The only thing divination is, is the intent in the persons heart for the need for power or control because they have lacked it in their lives and often have no humility or ability to choose and think for themselves.( knowing the difference between heart and mind is key in this as well…..the thinking that is) I have first hand knowledge of this through my very own christian upbringing and torment there in. All religions bring us to God yet man perverts the paths to control and subjugate free thinking. This also includes the indigenous ways of great spirit and their helpers. That is the religion god gave them.
Also some need to realize that as god is unchanging, so is the word. and as Jesus spoke in parables….very deep metaphors……so has the father. think deeply, and read with your heart, not our feeble mind. the heart is stronger than the mind.
And to the rest touting christ to be the only way to god, please tell that to the loving, humble muslim people of earth and every other countless religion. Read your bibles and see what it says about confounding the wise. And may the source of all that is good and true have mercy on all our souls; because you can bet there isn’t one among us who has not failed and that will not continue to do so on this journey of life and spiritual evolution.

Shall we cast stones no further
You see, we are all to be different yet love another. Why is it we cannot see this point? Not controlling the flesh as I see it. Seeking power and greed over love and humility.

    • Janie de says:

in Mika defense, he used the word God more often then Devil.. you didn’t mention that….I also believe as he does..

  40. Marcia says:

mika11, my point is saying how many times you mentioned the devil was ONLY in response to your statement that we were saying people are devil worshipers, which no one here has said. So why did you say that? It has nothing to do with what anyone here has said.

We are told by Jesus himself to judge teachings and practices; we do this according to God’s word. Using the cards is occult divination and is forbidden by God throughout the Bible. We are not judging the cards; God already has. In fact, God has judged what is good and evil and that information is in the Bible. This is not about judging people but about practices. I don’t think anyone here has judged a person, only the practice of divination.

  41. lostchild says:

I guess sometimes we misunderstand each other, however the point here (I suppose) was mostly about the dangers of consulting different forms of ”divination”, more specifically tarot cards.
I believe ”i ching” and other oracles can influence the same horrible way.
The one thing I do know by experience is that the article we’re all talking about here makes total sense and I’m glad I found it.
So, thank you, Tina, for sharing your story with the world, for it has helped. A lot.
Tarot cards are divination of hell. God has nothing to do with those and I regret the day I even thought about consulting them. When He says not to use these things it’s pretty much the same as saying: ”don’t call me on this number, it’s not my phone, not my number”.
It’s something else pretending to be Him.
I think that’s the point. I wish I knew before, not now that could be too late. God forgive me… Take care.

    • Tina Storey says:

      Hi Lostchild

Thank you for your encouraging comment. You are absolutely right, Tarot Cards and other forms of divination are Occult tools which tie you to evil spirits. It is never too late to turn to God, the Lord wants you to look to HIm and is very forgiving. He loves you so much. May He bless you. xx

  42. Rev. Keating McFarland says:

Tarot Cards are only a medium for the Divine to speak through you. If you worship evil, that only evil will speak to you. There is nothing evil or sinister about Tarot. I have been a practicing Wiccan for over five years and am an ordained minister of the Wiccan faith as well as a scholar of all religions. I gather that this web page is a very Christian oriented one, so I will go no further in trying to open your minds to the TRUE teachings and ideologies of other religions because, in my experience, that goes over as well as trying to give a cat a bath. Regardless, I do respect your opinions on the matter but urge you to seek better information and counsel if you are reading this to learn about Tarot. May the blessings of the God and Goddess (or whatever deity you so choose to worship) be ever with you,
    Rev. Keating McFarland

    • Bless you Rev. Keating McFarland ❤ 🙂

      • Rev. Keating McFarland says:

Blessings thankfully received Nadine. I am so glad to see other like minded people post on here to dispel the misinformation surrounding Tarot and other forms of divination. It is my hope that you will stay strong with your chosen path and no be discouraged by others who do not understand it. Brightest Blessings,
        Rev. Keating McFarland

        • Strong like an ox rev! 🙂 haha! I’ve seen too much positivity from this work and life so there would be no way I could ever turn back, and would never want to hehe!
Thanks, you too! Keep shining that torch through the mistruths! ^_^

  43. Marcia says:

Rev. McFarland, thank you for your thoughts. But the living God is the only true divine One and He does not speak through Tarot cards, which are used for occult divination. The cards themselves are just cards with images and I am not saying the physical cards are evil. It’s the use of them that goes against God. I was once a professional licensed astrologer (who had many Wiccan clients and friends) and the astrological chart is in some ways like the tarot cards – a medium through which passes knowledge and spirits that are not from God. These spirits can sound very spiritual, wise, and benevolent, but they lead one away from the true God. This is what the Bible calls the “angel of light,” referring to the “evil one,” one of the terms Jesus used for the enemy of God.

    • Rev. Keating McFarland says:

      Marcia,
Thank you for being respectful in your reply. I understand that the Christian faith does not approve of the use of Tarot, I was just trying to add a different opinion to enrich the discussion and advocate for the positive uses for Tarot in other belief systems. As my father would tell me: Blame the Indian, not the arrow (The “Indian” being the person unknowingly worshiping evil, and the “arrow” being the Tarot cards). But as I said, I am not tying in any way to change anyones opinion, merely to add a difference of opinion.
      Many blessings,
      Rev. McFarland

    • katrina stone says:

Amen to that. Why are people so deceived I wonder. My sister who I have not seen for 25 years, who was brought up in a Christian family,Is now claiming to be a certified Angel card reader. She loves her spiritual journey according to her face book page. She is giving me a hard time over my fathers estate now..Its almost as if I am being spiritually attacked .She is directing a lot of hatred towards me .As I am a born again Christian, we are told we battle against the powers of darkness .It feels that way at this present time. She is very plausible and attractive in many respects. I know sincerely that what she is practicing is the devils work. As a mental trained nurse I have seen the devastation the occult can cause to ones mental health

      • Rev. Keating McFarland says:

        Katrina,
Thank you for your thoughts. I would start by saying that people who do not share your beliefs are not deceived. They just have a different set of ideologies. I am most sorry to hear about the conflict between you and your sister. I hope that a resolution can be reached. As I have sated, I understand that those in the Christian faith consider the use of tarot cards or any involvement in the Occult as evil or devil worship. I can only speak for those of Wiccan faith, but we do not acknowledge the existence of Satan or a devil figure. In the Wiccan Rede (our code of sorts) the most important line that shows how we conduct ourselves and our practice is “An ye harm none, do what ye will.” As for other Occult faiths such as Satanism, (Totally different from Wicca) I can see where some of the ideologies and practices can lead its followers down a darker path in into mental and/ or legal troubles. I am not, nor have I ever been a Satanist, but I am a scholar of religion and have done extensive research on Satanism and other Occult faiths. With your sister, I would not let the difference in spirituality tear you apart. I believe that we must learn to be tolerant of others regardless of their beliefs (This is not the same as approving or liking) because no matter what we believe, we are all humans of this beautiful planet. I would try to find some common interests and try to reunite that family bond.
        Blessings to you,
        Rev. McFarland.

      • lucy Brown says:

Omg Im am really broken because Ive been seeing pyscics on and off for three years now trying to findout about a guy Ive been dating. I would call almost everyday until one day I heard he had died and was shot. Prior to that I had seen a spirit that disappeared infront of my eyes. Although the things the pyscics predicted was correct non of them predicted his death.

        • Marcia says:

Hi, Lucy – Dealing with psychics is dangerous spiritually; God is totally against it. If you have not heard the gospel and how are can be forgiven of all your sins, past, present, and future, here it is. God loves you so much that he sent his Son Jesus Christ to live the perfect life and thereby pay the penalty for your sins on the cross. His death satisfied the justice of God, which is death as the penalty for sins. But since Jesus satisfied this justice, those who believe in Him have that penalty paid through Christ. Jesus bodily rose the 3rd day, thus assuring a victory over death (separation from God) for all who trust Him. If you trust in Christ who did this for you, you are forgiven of all your sins and are adopted as a child of God. You become a new person in Christ and have eternal life. I pray if you have not done this that you will consider it. “Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty,” John 6:35.

          • How is god against psychics, if ALL of us are born psychic? It makes no sense…. and even Jesus was psychic! 😀

            • Marcia says:

We are not all born psychic. Psychic powers come from spirit guides who are fallen angels. Jesus was not psychic. Jesus as the Son of God and God the Son is omniscient.

              • Jesus was psychic.. but let’s not debate the colour of the sky. We are all psychic until that natural source given ability is programmed out of us, by schools, religion and society…

                • Spirit guides are fallen angels!! I’m sorry but that was funny to me. Please find your own experiences and write of them. Rather than writing somebody else’s limited views on things they don’t understand…

  44. Tina Storey says:

    Hi everyone,

I think as we have already stated, the cards in themselves are not evil, it’s the practice of Divination which the Bible warns us against. Thank you Marcia, the one true God of the Bible doesn’t speak to us through divination – He warns us against it many times, for good reason.

Those of us who have been into divination and come out of it give our testimonies for good reason – to give a very clear warning to others who are involved in such activities – this will connect you to spirits which are evil. We have learned the hard way, it isn’t just our opinions, it isn’t just what we choose to believe about them, we have discovered the truth about divination for ourselves. Testimonies abound.

Nothing against people into other spiritualities, I was a very cheerful and kind Tarot Card Reader, even only did it as a hobby for close family and friends, so never thought it was anything serious. I loved what I did and so did everyone else. But it was the practice I was into which was evil, I didn’t know this at the time, I had no idea – until I tried to stop, then I (like many others) discovered the truth, that I had connected myself to something evil.

Now of course, we want to tell this truth to others, the practice of divination connects us to evil spirits, they will flee at the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Anything which flees from Christ is of the Antichrist.

  45. Kyashi says:

I find this very hard to believe. Why you ask? Well, because I for one use Tarot cards. I carry crystals with me wherever I go. I bear the pentagram on my body in the form of metal jewelry.

When I was a teenager I actually called upon the ‘devil’. “If you’re real, show yourself to me and I will follow you until the day I die. Then my soul will be yours.” Guess what. He never came. That was the day I decided I did not believe in god, because for god to be real, so must the devil be real.

I believe in our planet and universe, I believe in giving back what I take. I am not a bad person and I do not feel any negative spirits or energies around me. I have called upon the devil and challenged him and offered up my soul in order to decide my faith. I was brought up Christian and I did at one time believe. I knew in my heart that it was all crud at the time that I called upon the ‘devil’. I was proven right and now I follow a path of peace and love. I do not follow any single religion. I take from each what I need and believe in peace and love.

I do not believe that Tarot cards can connect you to anything evil unless the evil already resides within you.

    • Marcia says:

Maybe the devil did not appear to you because 1) he didn’t want you to think he was real, which you don’t apparently; or 2) God protected you by not allowing Satan to do anything.

    • Hi Kyashi… I’m a clairvoyant… and like you, I never believed in demons or devils or any of that.. until one time when I read a person and saw two horned beings controlling him in my minds eye… !! The person had been controlled by the same two beings since the 16th century and is still being controlled by them.

The dark forces don’t show up in the physical…well, they do, of course.. We only need to look at serial killings, or wars as an example.. but more, it’s an energy that can influence your thoughts.. bad moods for no particular reason.. sudden judging of others for no particular reason… confusion in the mind… or feeling that pieces of yourself are lost etc.. can be subtle signs… but my point in writing this is not to make you believe… but to say.. even if you don’t believe… don’t offer your soul away to the devil 😀 This does hold up and it happens over lifetimes and lifetimes not just in this one life……. I have a book for you.. it’s written by a Spirit Releasement therapist so it isn’t religiously biased.. I think you will have your mindblown! Enjoy sweets xx

  46. Kyashi says:

Yeah, somehow I don’t believe either of those are the reason. I have never once seen anything that proves either of them are real. I’ve never even had a reason to second guess it since I made my decision quite a long time ago. But I’m still a good person and I still use Tarot cards. They are not devices of evil.

    • Marcia says:

Well, that is your choice. Of course, I think it is the wrong one and that you ignore God and his word at your own peril, and ignoring what he has said about divination. Tarot cards will continue to lead you the wrong way.

  47. Kyashi says:

The tarot cards did not lead me in any way. I came to that conclusion years before I even knew they existed, or that the occult was a thing. I have been led to my conclusion based on lack of evidence for the existence of god.

And I only posted my opinion because this whole thing is crock! It’s fear mongering. You want people to believe that Tarot cards are evil when they are not! I can’t even begin to see how somebody could think that they are evil. And I’m sorry to anybody who truly believes in this. I ask, when has Wicca ever compelled anybody to kill another person? The golden rule is do unto others what you would want done to you. One of the first rules of magik is to never harm another living being.

Yet how many wars have been fought in ‘gods name’? How many people have died under the cross? How many people have been turned away because of religious beliefs. Wicca is not evil, and perhaps I shouldn’t even say Wicca. It is all of paganism. Paganism has nothing to do with ‘god’ or ‘satan’. Those things don’t exist. All that does exist is this planet, every living being that lives on the planet, and the universe which gave birth to everything you know and will ever know.

I wish people would stop trying to put out horror stories about these things.

    • Marcia says:

Wars fought in God’s name do not mean God endorses them or even that the people fighting them believe in the real God. Actually, more people have died in the regimes of atheists like Pol Pot, Mao Tse-Chung, Stalin, and others. But that’s neither here nor there re the Tarot. The cards themselves are not evil; it is the use of them to seek an answer or guidance that is because that information can only come from one of two places, and it’s not from God. This is not about Wicca, either, just the Tarot and divination.

  48. Kyashi says:

The article clearly states that she dabbled in paganism, so it is indeed about paganism. And at least Atheists don’t hide behind a god when creating war. They do it because it is just the way it is. Wars happen. People kill things as do other animals. No god or devil makes them do it. And the information that you receive ussig tarot and other forms of divination come from your own energy and the energy of the people of this Earth. (With the exception of things actually meant to contact spirits; ouija boards etc.)

I am sensing a clear misunderstanding of how these things actually work.

    • Tina Storey says:

      Hi Kyashi

Good to meet you. Actually my article doesn’t state anything about Paganism, nor Wicca, and I certainly didn’t dabble in such. It is purely a description of what happened to me, and how I discovered the truth about divination – and that spirits are very real beings and flee at the name of Jesus.

Again as already stated, the cards themselves are not evil. The Bible warns us about divination – for good reason – however we choose to do that divination. God forbids us to do it and there are many of us who have discovered first hand the reason why.

I think it must also be said that none of us are on this website to scaremonger. We’re here to give a true witness of what the living Lord Jesus Christ has done for us, and to warn other people of the dangers we have encountered.

May I ask why you carry crystals with you wherever you go? And could I also ask why you feel you need to have a Pentagram on you in the form of jewellery?

      • Kyashi says:

Paganism is a part of the occult. You took part in occultic practices.

You are in fact fear mongering. You are telling fearful stories in the hopes to deter somebody from what you believe but cannot prove is evil.

“Spirits” do not flee in the name of Jesus as there is no such thing as Jesus.

Also in the bible, correct me if I am wrong as I have not read from it in a few years, god forbids black magic. White magic was not forbidden. Wtf else would you call the magic “god” supposedly does?

I carry crystals on me to amplify things, or to lessen other things, I am an empathy, I wear certain crystals to protect myself from others energies, and quatrz to amplify those crystals. When I am sick I chose a different crystal with different metaphysical properties. I wear the pentagram as a symbol of my beliefs, but also as a reminder that everything is connected. The spirit, the earth, air, water and fire are all in unison. I also hold that or a crystal in my hand when I meditate.

        • Marcia says:

          Hello, Kayshi,
The Bible forbids all occult magic. For God, there is no such thing as black or white magic because occult actions, including any form of magic, draw on power from and honor the dark side, and is not from God. I used to have crystals and would envision white light for protection. However, there is no healing or protective power in stones, crystals or other objects. Putting trust in nature and/or some kind of energy or power instead of the Creator is serious and will only reap harmful consequences. I truly hope you reconsider your view. The occult is merely a mask for a very evil source. Jesus is alive now and does care about you.

Kyashit… i wanted to compliment you on your writing skills. I have a question…
If you do not believe in Jesus why do you type his name with an uppercase J ?
I also have a prophetic word for you, you do have a mighty call on your life. And your testimony will help hundreds come to Christ. I Pray for wisdom understanding and for Jesus to come to you in a vision or a dream within the next few months. Get ready, the atmosphere is about to shift! (Jeremiah1:5) before you were born He set you apart.
God Bless You on this new journey.

10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

Hi tina. I bought my own tarot card. Just today. And i was searching though the net the do and donts in using this and if it is safe or dangerous. And then i found this post of yours. I haven’t started blessing my card but i honestly had touched it but i still haven’t shuffled it.. but the i had pick 2 cards and search for its meaning but i dint use any kind of reader like ashley’s reading or past present something like that. I just did pick 2 and see what it is.. and i’m afraid that if i get rid of it NOW. Something might happen.. i haven’t felt anything yet.. please HELP ME

    • Kyashi says:

You say you aren’t fear mongering but here is a person who had a healthy curiosity and now has read your article and is afraid simply because they touched a deck of cards and want to get rid of it after reading your article. This person hasn’t even had a chance to find out for themselves. This is exactly what I am talking about.

To Genevieve, if you are interested then do what you feel in your heart is right. Tarot is not evil and it does not connect you to spirits. It simply amplifies the energies around you so if you or another person has negative intents, that is the only way for terrible things to take place. Do not listen to others if it goes against what you want or what you feel is right. You are not a sheep, but a wonderful and intelligent person.

Being as you have not even shuffled the deck, you have not crossed energies with it. Give it away or burry them. Set them in a box and put them away. Get a refund for them. Do what you feel you need to, but I promise you that no harm will come to you should you decide to rid yourself of them. I have rid myself of decks I did not like and I also quit reading for years and have never experienced a single thing because of it. They are harmless paper and ink. The power they have is the power you give them. Always remember that you are in charge.

      • Tina Storey says:

        Hi Kyashi

There are many practices which come under the umbrella of the Occult (including the Ouija Board which I was never involved in), my testimony clearly focusses on divination by use of the Tarot Cards.

I think if you were to read the testimonies featured on this website, they are all to the glory of Jesus Christ. So rather than fear mongering, we write about the reassurance that Jesus is above all, there is no fear in Him, whatever evil we open ourselves up to is not to be feared as Jesus is greater than anything evil, and we can be reassured that we can turn to Him:

2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Both white magic and black magic come from the same source – Hell and the devil. The Bible clearly tells us not to get involved in such things, they are an abomination to the one true God. They are both counterfeits for the real thing – a relationship with Jesus Christ, wherein lies divine authority over Satan and his legions of the demonic. In Christ are blessings for your life, and the power of prayer, founded on faith in God.

With Jesus we have no need of crystals, pentagrams, or any such objects. Jesus is above all these things which can do nothing for us. We have no power to manipulate energies, neither do such objects.

      • linda says:

Kayshi…you are absolutely right…the power is the power given by the user, not the other way around.

        • WillB says:

I also concur Kyashi and linda, this goes for faith in christ as well. Christianity was there because others souls/ spirits were sick and they refuse to look into themselves for that cure that the divine has put in us all. that does include all that nature has to offer my dear people, because it too is part of the creation.

    • Tina Storey says:

      Hi Genevieve

Nice to meet you and thank you for your reply to my testimony. We write our testimonies because of the truth we have discovered and we now wish to warn others of such dangerous practices. We also write to reassure others of the living Christ, who loves you with an everlasting love, who died on the cross and shed His blood for your salvation, who will be more fulfilling than the false spirituality of the Occult. I would strongly advise you not to get involved with divination, as my own and many other people have learned, it will connect you to evil spirits which are very real beings, and are only out to destroy your life. These beings do not love you and do not mean thebest for you.

I would destroy the cards before you are tempted to use them any more. I would seek out a local church and go and have a chat to the Minister/Vicar. There will be people who are willing to pray with you about all this and help you to understand and help you on your spiritual journey with the one, true, living, Lord Jesus Christ.

      • WillB says:

Ok, just be clear. Saying what jesus will do and what the word says does not make you any less sick in the mind as before you got into that form of religion. I am witness of this. with all my heart I needed jesus to help me and perhaps eternally i have been. That did not change my terrible thought patterns that I have to work on. Fear is the evidence in most of this article and where most of these converted theologists are coming from. And no, demons do not flee at the name of jesus. I’ve had to simply walk away from those so obviously possessed in their own delusions of grandeur. And christ did meditate. Let this be clear.

        • Tina Storey says:

Hi Will, good to meet you. Spirits (demons) are very real entities and have a will and an intelligence. Many people have realised that at the name of Jesus they drop their masks to reveal their true identities – which is evil. Jesus speaks of these spirits many times in the Bible and some people are called to do this type of Ministry (Deliverance Ministry) – casting out spirits in the name of Jesus.

The Exorcist I visited to renounce my involvement in the Occult sat with us and spoke of his experiences with spirits, and his work of freeing people from them in the name of Jesus Christ. He had been in this Ministry for 80 years so had a lot of things to tell us! He told us about one family who had moved into a new home. When they started digging the garden they dug up a Ouija Board. In doing this it brought back the spirits the previous people there had obviously tried to free themselves from. The house became haunted again, and the experiences were terrifying for this family. They called in this Exorcist who freed their house in the name of Jesus Christ. The family were so unsettled by it all that they still couldn’t feel happy about staying in that house any more, and decided to move house again.

Jesus truly is more powerful than these spirits, and they do indeed flee at the mention of His name. God bless+

          • May I ask if you have read any form of works outside of the bible relating to possession? I find religious texts to be very onesided about “evil.” Even the darkest of beings have their own divine spark.. and if exorcists really took the time to remove their programming and labels… and instead approach ALL beings with love, they would find that what they term “Evil” are merely spirits who chose a dark path at some point in their existence.. Nobody is beyond forgiveness or finding their own light.

It seems very uncompassionate..and I feel that if you were to open your mind a little to other experiences and perspectives, you would find that even those you call “demons” are very capable of returning to the light. But if you approach something or someone with fear or hatred, or judgement… you will see that energy magnified back to you.

    • Marcia says:

Genevieve, I agree with Tina. I was once a professional astrologer before I knew the true Jesus Christ and I also had Tarot cards. The cards do connect you to spirits; it’s just that card readers (and astrologers, psychics, channelers, mediums, etc.) believe their guides are benevolent. As Tina said, they are not. I urge you to throw out the cards and seek a minister and ask him about Christ.

  50. Kyashi says:

I cannot believe you people. The only guide is yourself. You hold the power and there is no higher being. It saddens me that so many are afraid to think for themselves.

    • Marcia says:

Believe me, Kyashi, we are thinking for ourselves and we are not relying on objects or unknown, unnamed powers for protection or guidance, but on the living eternal Christ. I became a Christian rather late in life. I would have said before then that I was thinking for myself but I wasn’t. I was believing in and trusting the occult based powers. I was a New Ager but was an astrologer and also had Tarot cards, crystals, etc. This is not thinking for one’s self but is a reliance on power not from God.

      • 🙂 May I ask Where you think crystals come from Marcia? Did god not create everything? 😀 I’m so confused with this statement of yours.. it doesn’t appear to make sense… EVERYTHING is God. When you judge something as not being from god, you are classifying that being or person as beneath you… which isn’t very loving. xx

        • Marcia says:

Where do crystals come from? Crystals are part of creation, like trees, rivers, rocks, etc. Yes, it was all made by God but God is not in creation. He is distinct from creation. If He was part of creation, he would not be God. Creation also became corrupt by the fall of man, when man first sinned against God. This is another reason God cannot be part of creation. But the main reason is that God is always distinct from his creation. God being part of creation is illogical since God created from nothing. God is above creation – he is greater than creation.

          • If it was all made by god, then how can god not be in the creation? It’s a dichotomy that contradicts…
The divine spirit created everything and is in everything and therefore IS everything. To cast someone away as not being divine… is a distortion of the divine truth…
As you say, things become corrupted, because of the corruption of man. So, to assume that the bible hasn’t also been corrupted in the same way, seems very biased to one perspective, whilst ignoring the perspective and experiences of millions of others. Although there are, of course many truths in it… there are also many corruptions of the divine truth.

All these cannots and shouldn’ts and god wouldn’t do this.. or that. The divine spirit would never judge something as wrong or not wrong… What did Jesus teach? LOve… simple love, healing.. he showed the power of source when used in a positive way. I often wonder why so many Christians who are fearful of anything the bible says to avoid.. when even the bible speaks of prophesy.. by Jesus himself no doubt! It’s selective to condemn psychics when you don’t condemn Jesus for the same thing…

            • Marcia says:

If God made something, how can God be in it? If I make a sculpture or painting, it may reflect me but I am not literally in it. I am still wholly distinct from it. The painting or sculpted piece can be burned or destroyed or lost but I live on. Creation does reflect that there is a Creator God, but God is not part of his creation though He is present. God is spirit and is remains untouched by the falleness and corruption of man and nature.

              • I think the question is.. if god made something how can god NOT be in it. Because god is an energy.. not a person! 😀

                • If you made a sculpture.. I would be able to read your energy without ever meeting you.. just by psychically reading your sculpture… because you are spirit.. and therefore whatever you create has your spirit and energy running through it… same as god! You are insistent that man is corrupt. But you see what you are, always. So if you can only see darkness and misery on this beautiful earth..then it’s because you yourself are dark and miserable…. people only judge in others what they do not accept in themselves…

                • Tina Storey says:

                  HI Nadine

It seems to me that you have actually just contradicted yourself. . . You say that God is an energy .. not a person, and yet you say that we are spirits. . . . Mmm . . . then who created us??

Marcia is right, creation reflects God’s glory, it doesn’t possess God’s glory. God said, “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” Isaiah 42:8.

                  • Nadine says:

That isn’t a contradiction to me Tina… Spirit is energy… which can manifest itself into anything it wants… people, animals… grass… rock 🙂

I guess the question is how do you look at the universe? Do you look at the universe as friendly or unfriendly? Our beliefs create the reality we will experience. For me the universe is amazing, friendly, supportive.. and therefore my reality reflects that… tarot is uplifting to those I read for… and it helps them to gain clarity to move forward. For the religious the universe is unfriendly.. and tarot is out to get them!
                    It’s a simple matter of beliefs… xx

                    • Tina Storey says:

                      Hi Nadine

It seems to me that there’s some confusion between ‘energy’ and ‘spirit’. A spirit has a will and an intelligence of it’s own. Energy is not necessarily a spirit.

Actually Christians see the universe as beautiful, God’s creation, reflecting His glory. Divination (via the Tarot or whatever) is something very different, that is tapping into the spiritual realms which are not of God, and will connect you to demons – whether or not you feel all positive and loving – these spirits are of an evil nature as many people have discovered.

Have you thought about testing the spirits in the name of Jesus? Jesus tells us in the Bible to test them:

1 John 4:1-3 – Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.

                      God bless+

            • Tina Storey says:

God rejoices in his works because his works are an ‘expression’ of his glory. The Bible tells us that His creation ‘reflects’ His glory.

              Psalm 19 says:
“The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.”
So the most basic reason that God delights in his creation is that in creation he sees the reflection of his own glory.

              ————————————————-

Prophecy and predictions are very different Nadine. Jesus was not a psychic. Psychics don’t question the source of their predictions. Have you ever questioned the source of your predictions? Have you ever tested the spirits as the Bible advises us to?

              • Nadine says:

These columns get thinner and thinner! I could barely read that last one… I’m not even sure I am on the correct one now…
Energy and spirit are the same…
It’s all one. xx When I say energies… they can either be conscious, or unconscious energies…

              • Nadine says:

Prophecy is not something we choose to get though… that’s my point… and they come in as revelations.. which I never doubt.. I instantly know the source.. because I know my inner voice after having worked with it. But when I didn’t trust, or if I ever meet someone and I have a strange vibe about them… I will ask spirit to tell me “in the name of the light” Who the message is coming from etc..
nowadays, I don’t need to do this so much…
As I removed the layers of darkness from my aura… darkness no longer comes to me. And so everything that comes is for the highest good of the person. I don’t do “future readings” i.e can you tell me what will happen in the future. Because we are the ones who create our future, rather than it being something that is handed to us. But I will help a person to see the outcome of two options they are stuck between choosing from, so they know the most beneficial path to choose based on the outcome of each. Say a person was unsure of whether to go for this course.. or that course.. I would ask to see the outcome of going down this path… and the outcome of going down the second path… so they may then make an informed choice. For me .. everything is about our hearts, our intentions… if we are helping others.. and that is our intention.. then of course we are in communication with the light, because the dark does not want what is best for the person 🙂 xx

              • Nadine says:

I’ve seen them Tina… in a few readings… they snarl and have literal horns on their heads sometimes! But this is just the image they choose to project… if we ask for them to reveal themself in the name of the light, they simply turn into energy… black ..
                black energy!
But the dark can of course be transformed to the light too… nobody is beyond redemption or of finding the light…
The dark deceives… and so many of the dark beings have also been deceived into believing that the light will harm them… or that they have no inner light etc…
When we think the world is all we have, we will do anything to stay here…
                So I get it…
That’s the level of consciousness we are raising the masses up from at this point… that there is more than this world, and what is out there, is beautiful! So that we don’t have to keep experiencing a world, in which people will do absolutely anything just to survive…
If everybody remembered their source.. the goodness beyond.. darkness would not exist here…

                • Tina Storey says:

Nadine, this brings to mind a few verses from the bible . . . When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12.

“And no wonder, for even Satan himself disguises himself as an angel of light.” – 2 Corinthians 11:14.

Jesus is above all of these deceiving, evil entities and they will flee at the mention of His name. xx

I have prayed but feel i am still being mentally controlled by evil and my prayers are not being heard.

    • Marcia says:

      Hello, Claire,
The fear of stopping something like reading the cards or giving them up is common but this fear is a deception to make you think you can’t stop. What is happening is not unusual for someone who leaves Tarot and turns (or turns back) to Christ. I think you should find a minister or mature Christian who will listen to you and pray with you. Keep praying and choose a book of the Bible and read through it. Philippians or Colossians would be good, also Ephesians. These are fairly short books and I think sitting down and reading one through is good.

      • Tina Storey says:

        Hi Claire

Marcia is absolutely right, seek out a Minister or Vicar who you can talk to, and there will be Christians who will support you through this time and pray with you. God’s Word is living and active,

Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Remember Jesus fought the Devil with scripture. Keep in the Word, join a good Bible group, trust in the Lord Jesus and He will give you all the protection you need. Evil will flee at the very mention of His name.

  52. Dear Kyashi, can I please share some personal experiences? I used to be a New Ager & Spiritualist until 19 years ago, when my mother’s home became spirit possessed. I became a Christian and since then I help others going thru the same. As part of the ministry, I refer people for help, or if I live near them, I help, eg, often I get enquiries where people’s homes need cleansed of tormenting spirits & one of the reasons this happens is due to them having used Tarot Cards. On my blog, I share the stories of those who have experienced such things & been set free by Jesus Christ. Many thanks, God bless you, Laura.

  53. Dear Claire, I am so sorry to hear this, it’s something I hear a lot from people over the past couple of decades. I agree with Marcia & Tina. I know people who can help, but I’m not sure what country you live in. You can perhaps look at my blog, under the heading Contact & Advice, where you can see people you can contact, including my friend Michael who prays for people over the phone and on his TV show. God bless you, Laura.

I am 14 years old and brought Tarot cards from a stationary store before September. I Mainly brought it for fun and did not know what to expect or what it will lead to. Also I used the tarot cards 10 or more times for practice but till this day I still have no idea how to use it properly or if I’m doing it right. I came across this site intrested to know more about Tarot cards, I’m worried if this will happen to me and came to ask if I should get rid of my Tarot cards before I carry on using them?

    • Crystal says:

I also forgot to mention that I suffer from anxiety and depression and have some family issues but I try my best to be positive (it’s not as bad as it sounds). I have no negative intentions, I simply wanted to know what it will lead to and how my past affected me ect.

      • Marcia says:

        Hello, Crystal,
I am very glad you came to this page and asked about the Tarot. I strongly urge you to throw the cards away. They will not reveal any information that is helpful and it is likely that it will only increase your depression and anxiety. There is no such thing as doing Tarot “for fun.” That may be your intention but there is no fun in it. Doing these cards only opens the door to interference from bad spirits (fallen angels).

Are you open to reading the Bible? Some of the Psalms are very comforting. Write back and let us know what you decide and how you are doing. All of us former card readers, spiritualists, astrologers, etc. care about you.

        • Crystal says:

Thank you for your quick reply since I was urgent to know what I should do. I’m fine with getting rid of my cards but I’m very worried about what it would lead to. Also my friend is a Christian, she wants me to attend church with her and is getting me a bible which I will be receiving in two days.

          • Marcia says:

            Hi, Crystal,
Don’t worry about what it may lead to since you are getting rid of them. You have not been doing them long enough and you are willing to throw them away. I am very glad your friend is getting a Bible for you, and that you can go to church with her. Don’t worry about this and realize that God loves you.

      • Rev. Keating McFarland says:

        Crystal,
If it is information on the true nature of tarot cards that you are looking for, this is not the right place to find it. If you haven’t noticed, this website is heavily structured around the Christian religion and thus, will say that the tarot cards are evil because their scripture tells them this. I don’t believe that I have seen anyone on here who is not of the Christian religion saying that there is anything wrong with using the cards. They are not evil. They are only a medium to strengthen the connection with your energies and your higher self. If your intent is evil, your energy will be negative and thus, the cards will reflect that. Just remember to do as you will as long as you harm none. I strongly suggest that you look for factual information regarding tarot, what they mean, and how to properly use them.
I hope this will help you in your journey and Brightest Blessings,
        Rev. Keating McFarland

Do NOT listen to these idiots trying to make you afraid. The cards only have power if you give it to them. And it’s NOT bad or evil. These people are crazy

      • Marcia says:

Not all powers are from God; that’s the point. If you choose to use those powers, then that is your choice but such powers are not from God. I used to be an astrologer and had many Neopagan and Wiccan clients and I am very familiar with those views, as well as doing readings. I also had psychic powers. Just be aware there is a cost for those. I hope and pray that you will one day decide to find the true Jesus.

    • Always follow your own intuition on everything Crystal 🙂 That’s the best advice any person can be given. How do they make YOU feel? Did you feel worried before you read this article? If not then, you are being made to feel afraid by this article… which should tell you something…

HI Crystal, I’m also pleased you came to this site to enquire and learn more about the Tarot. As a former Tarot reader I would strongly advise that you throw the cards away, don’t even be slightly curious about them. Fortune telling connects you to very real spirits who have a will and an intelligence of their own, and they do not love you or any of us.

I would advise that you go to church with your friend, learn more about Jesus, spend time with supportive Christians who will help you to grow in your faith and your understanding of God’s Word. It will be far more fulfilling than the Tarot Cards. Marcia is right, we all care about you and would love to hear about how you are doing. Much love, Tina x

In helping a friend come to terms with grief, I happened upon Gaz Parker’s site and so to this one. I believe that when we give our lives to Jesus, we are taking up the Cross and all that entails. Living a Christian life is a bed of roses with thorns. In renouncing our former ways (whether they be, as here, occultic, or any form of addiction) we are asking God to cleanse us. Repentance means to turn away from our previous path and follow the path of Jesus and that isn’t easy. The disciples left the security of what they knew to follow a complete stranger into an unknown future. Daily, people do just that because God has revealed himself to them, and the amazing thing is that when He does, those people are under no illusion that what is revealed is the Truth. We may fall off the tracks, but God is always there to scoop us up and place us back on the right path. So, don’t agonise over what will happen if you put yourself in God’s hands, He loves you whatever you do. But, in trusting in Him, we are assured of his forgiveness, love and Grace; not a bad future that!
    Every blessing

A close friend of mine has become a tarot card student. I am concerned he is being tricked by a counterfeit spirit because that is what I was taught through bible studies. I pray he will be turned off to this when he sees the better way God provides for him.

I’m not against religions. But what I wonder how religion is any different than tarot cards, or any manner of divination… or truly, anything spiritual. Simply religious people believe in something slightly different. People who are into spiritual things believe in their own God or in themselves, or in divination, in which that reading is provided to them from the universe or from their inner self guiding them. However, there is no difference. They all require some manner of energy to believe in. Tarot cards aren’t negative unless you use them negatively… it’s the same with religion. If you use religion negatively (which let me tell you, has been done so many times in the past. Using religion to justify holy wars, ring any bells, eh?) then it will come out negatively. I don’t condone people worshiping or performing devilish things, which for most using tarot cards, don’t dabble in… Although I do realize saying this, it will all go over your heads and you’ll just explain that since tarot isn’t in the Bible or Word of God, it is not right. Well, the world can’t be boxed into a book. The world isn’t made like that. Our reality as we know it, is not so simple. I agree with what the Bible says, especially concerning human morals. It simply makes no sense to cancel something out because it isn’t taught in the Bible and …. Bah. I’d be a fool to start explaining logically, now. Would be a waste of my time, eh?

  60. peonybloomer says:

It’s quite surprising to read the comments here. It appears to me you all take things face value. Huh. Have you swell folks ever thought that maybe your religion is also controlled by Satan?

    Aren’t the possibilities endless?

What if your religion is just a way to control you into submission? Maybe it’s just a way to keep the power out of the hands from the people. Mainly, I’m speaking about organized religion. Usually those who are independent, but also shunned by the “Group”, tend to have an open mind and question everything. As I said before, I’ve nothing against religion. I pray every night. I’ve knowledge of a lot of them. But when it comes to organized religions and the zealous members shouting their dogmatic and judgemental words…

Yeah. I remember. I was going to go to hell if I didn’t get saved by Jesus. I did get saved by Jesus. Wait… the other group over there said that I didn’t need to be saved by Jesus! Someone said I’d go to hell for using tarots, or that because of my beliefs, I was in the line of fire. Apparently, I’m going to hell everywhere.

Then… what’s right? What’s wrong? Who’s right? Who’s wrong? God? Did God say he or she was right or wrong? Or was it the person who said God was right or wrong? How do we know that the person who said God was right or wrong was accurate in his or her assessment? What if a demon was talking to them instead? Satan himself?

Is the Buddhist monk wrong for not believing in a Christian God? Why does it matter what religion the god is? If God is all knowing, and all loving, then God would not discriminate whether or not the person reads the Bible. God doesn’t care what church you go to. Lutheran, Episcopal, Catholic, Methodist, Baptist… does it matter in the grand scheme of things? Does it matter if you fervently read the Bible every night, and remind people that their beliefs are wrong? Please, grab a nice telescope or set of binoculars and look up at the starry night sky. Pray tell me, how “big” you think the church you go to, or religion you go to, is compared to the massive, ever expanding universe.

God is the universe after all, wouldn’t you say? The universe made us; we are practically the universe. We’re made up of the particles that make up the universe. So then we are God! God is us, and we are God. God is omnipotent, but we all have that piece of omnipotence within us; we simply are such lowly beings that we’ve yet to muster enough intelligence and shed the brutal, primitive behaviour that wraps us.

Then again, maybe there is no God. God could be the simulation machine, perpetually running trillions of simulations at once. We’re just a dinky little dot in the computer.

Ah well. Docile little sheep, just follow the narrow, dirt road down there… Don’t look off to the side, now, just follow the little lad up ahead.

    • Marcia says:

Truth and God are not just what we want to think or believe. There is evidence for the true God: the design of the universe reflects an intelligent Creator, and our conscience reflect that there is absolute right and wrong. Many of us posting here were for many years involved with Tarot, astrology, mediumship, etc., so we are not sheltered Christians or people who always believed in Christ from a young age. The evidence is for God and for Jesus Christ. There is judgment but we can escape the penalty for sin, which is eternal death, through faith in Jesus Christ who, out of love, came to die and pay the penalty for sins.
==Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25, 26

    • Thank you for this comment! It would have been perfect if you hadn’t sunk to their level by judging them as sheep at the bottom… but as for the rest of it.. bravo! ^_^

      • Rev. Keating McFarland says:

        Marcia,
But why is it your God and your God only? What is is about my God(s) that make them inferior to yours? How do you know that your path is the only one? Why do I need to pray to your God to be “saved”? I practice a religion of love. A religion that worships nature and is tolerant of all people and their choices. Why then, do Christians tell me that i’m going to Hell? There are more sets of beliefs than yours and it is close-minded and slightly ridiculous to say that yours is the only one that will lead to salvation when in reality, you have no clue. Picture this… The Bible says that the only way to be saved is through Christ right? What if, for the sake of this argument, the ancient (and fictitious) religion of Keatingism says that their profit is the only way. Lets say that they have both been practiced for about the same amount of time and both have a sizable following. If my Holy Book says that my way is the only way, and your Holy Book says the same, which is right? Obviously in this case you will say yours and I would say mine but thats because of our personal beliefs. Me saying that my way is the only way (which is not what I believe at all) because my religion say so does not make it true because as long as we are on this earth, we cannot know. It could be that neither one of our ways is right! My advise to you would be to live every day to love another. Do not discriminate, judge, or condemn others for their beliefs but strive to be compassionate and understanding of all people from all walks of life. I am sure that no matter what God or Goddess rules over us, they would accept anyone who lived their life to love one another.
        Brightest Blessings,
        Rev. Keating McFarland

        • And to add on to this very great point… in this vein of thinking .. every single person in the history of life, is in hell right now! Because (and I may be incorrect here about using the word ‘every’) but I think every religion states that their way is the only true way to god. So that would mean everybody is going to hell 🙂

          Love is my religion…
I am a clairvoyant, a tarot reader, a medium… I spread love, hope and help people to remember their own inner light…
I know where I am going when I cross over ^_^ And it’s beautiful!

        • Marcia says:

Rev. McFarland, I am not fearful of anything. I was a professional astrologer and had many Wiccan clients and friends. I even chose handfasting dates for some. I assume you are maybe a Wiccan priest, or something in that related area of belief? I am fairly familiar with Wiccan beliefs. One of the issues I see with that is that there is no distinction between God/Goddess/Gods and nature. However, God created the universe out of nothing and is distinct from it. There is Someone greater than nature; nature itself is corrupt. There is decay and death in nature; it is hardly pure or perfect. Man is the only one made in God’s image though God loves all creation, including the animals. However, man is the only one who can ascertain and conceive of a God, and worship. The true Jesus came out f love to pay the penalty for sins. No one can atone for his or her own sins and I’m sure you will agree no one is perfect. The lack of belief in a holy God in Wicca is the blind spot that keeps Wiccans (and Neopagans) from seeing their own need for salvation. Until you realize there is a holy God who cannot abide sin, you will continue to worship nature and gods that have no righteousness but are part of the domain of darkness. Jesus is the true light that exposes the darkness. Jesus himself said something about that:

“He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

  61. namco says:

Hahahaha. What a joke. You are so blind by the evil church that you attend.

I find it hilarious that this evil spirit only became evil after you visited the church, before then you had no problems. You stated in the article that when you decided to give up on the occult you felt the spirit with you more and more. Then after it scared you, you called your minister to praise jesus and succumb to the evil church. By doing so magically this spirit left you alone, your words. I find it absolutely hilarious that this supposed spirit only got angry when you gave up on the occult. If the spirit was evil, it wouldnt leave just because you decided to call your local minister, evil doesnt follow rules and woukd have called your bluff. the evil church you worship is what brought the evil, and as you still had truth, aka the occult, with you, the evil church of jesus was mad at you for doing so. Only after giving up on truth and blinding yourself with lies did you gain oeace from the spirit. How ironic, think of any exorcism, evil spirits dont leave at the sight of a pastor or minister, they stick around until an occult ritual is performed and even then refuse to leave. Think about that, an exorcism is an occult ritual. Sure is done in the name of god and jesus, but that only tells me how evil the church is. god can talk to anyone, anyone at all, at any time, so why does he need man, who sins, to write a book about the rules god wants you to follow? Couldng he just tell you himself? They say if you ask god something, he will listen, possibly give you an answer somehow. Is a tarot card reading not just that? Jesus was just a man, think about that. The bible gives him praise, about how he is special and everyone else is garbage, yet in real occult, everyone is special. Which sounds more logical. The greatest lie is the bible itself, it does not offer freedom, it offers slavory, rules, regulations. ive been studying religion for some time now, and if god is sooooo good and full of love, why wipe out civiclization? Love is boundless, no boundries, its pure, yet when a human isn “bad” by gods rule he wipes them all out. Christians LOVE to talk about loving people regardless of their faults, problems, and idiosyncricies, they claim this is love. If that is love, why didnt god accept man for what we are. The bible says god is omnipitant and knows all, so when god created man he knew what we are capable of, and knew we would become “corrupt”, yet instead of accelting it, he wipes out everything except 2 of every animal and a few good people, to start over. if got is omnilitant like the bibke says he can do no wrong, to wipe us out is to prove he was wrong. Religion is slavory. No religion is pure, they all murder in the name of their god, yet someone who is spiritual, never murders anyone, for slirituality is pure. i know god more than any of you because i listen to what god has to say, no christian hears god, only bible verses written by man. To follow religion is to worship man, to follow god and truly listen is to be spiritual, you were down the right path until you gave into temptation of mans lies and deciet. You think you know god because you read a book, when you truly never listen to god when hes screaming for us to listen. The real god would never destroy us because we were too stupid to listen, god knows not everyone will seek truth a accepts us all regardless. god would thus never destroy us, making the bible pure evil.

    • Marcia says:

As far as my experience goes, I actually had many evil experiences before I was a Christian, as most do who are involved in these areas. I know many who have. I never became a Christian because I was trying to be one In fact, I didn’t want to be a Christian. I hated Christians! But when I encountered Jesus while reading the Bible (which I was led to read), I finally saw the One who brings true peace and who is Truth. I challenge you to read one of the Gospels, like John or Matthew, or Mark or Luke. If they are not God’s word, as I’m sure you believe, then it will have no affect on you.

    • Tina Storey says:

      Hi Namco
Thank you for your reply. It seems there’s quite a lot of confusion here.

Firstly, calling my Minister didn’t cause the spirit to leave me alone. If my testimony is read carefully you will notice that it left me alone after singing and exalting the Lord Jesus at a church service. I called my Minister still anxious as to when the spirit would return – then, as I stated, I cancelled the appointment I had made with him when I realised what had happened.

As for saying the church of Christ is evil, there are many scriptures we could look at regarding Christ’s power over the enemy:

Colossians 1:13-14 – For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Luke 10:17 – The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”

Mathew 12:25-26 – And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?

Mark 1:34 – And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

1 John 4:3-4 – “and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”

And the Bible tells us: 1 Peter 5:8 – Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

The entire Bible points to Jesus, He is Lord. He loves us all just exactly as we are. He gives us the freewill to choose to turn to Him or not. God offers us salvation through His Son, it is our choice whether we accept or not.

Satan will say anything to keep us from knowing the Lord Jesus Christ and wants us to look to self. It isn’t about us, We are to take our eyes off ourselves and care for others. Philippians 2:3-4 tells us – Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

You might like to take a look at the link below regarding the Bible being the Word of God:
      http://www.gotquestions.org/Bible-God-Word.html

There are several scriptures you might like to think about, here’s a few of them:

2 Peter 1:20-21 – Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

I would agree with Marcia regarding reading the Gospels. Take some time to read them, let the Lord speak to you through His Word, I’m sure you won’t regret it.

Love and blessings in His mighty name.

  62. courtney says:

You obviously do not grasp how wrong you are. Narrow minded christians at it again. Using tarot doesn’t bind you to evil. Sorry but this is a bold faced lie.

  63. courtney says:

I am an eclectic pagan witch who was raised Christian and left after being treated like shit by every member of the church. I am an empath and they all called me a liar and claimed it to be “intuition” no Thanks. Why would your god create this planet with all this wonderful magickal energy that can be harassed and used and then tell you not to use it? No Thanks. I’ll continue to practice magic and read tarot and help people instead of succumbing to a religion that sows fear as a way of keeping people in line. Anyone want a reading? being an empath helps with my ability to read pretty Well for a novice

  64. Matthew says:

I am a schizophrenic and this story has made me feel more vulnerable; I feel from your story you got into a much bigger group of ideas/beliefs than your original small tarot group; I hope this doesn’t happen to me- I feel really bad for you that some people and ur own readings of the bible have made you cut out potentially harmless things and believe in something which forces you to believe in it; would you still believe in these new ideas if you found out the God you worship is violent? If there are demons and evil spirits then “God” created them also everything else- think to yourself why would God do this? Surely if a entity created by God was rejected then a) God would be very mean and horrible and second even innocent people like yourself would be some kind of sick game to God – I’m not saying there is no God but I am saying are you sure your worshipping this God out of love or actually sheer fear? I say a God that rejects and has no forgiveness for forms of life isn’t God and any wrath or revenge by God shows that whoever you worship isn’t right for the throne or title of God. It either works for all forms of life without pain or it doesn’t work and they are not God. Yano I once sat next to a priest from the Vatican who most likely studied the bible for every day of his life and I bet you 1000$ even he would say take the readings of the bible with a massive pinch of salt- e.g the bits that say things like cut off one of your limbs if it sins. Be careful and I hope the best for you peace

    • Marcia says:

God did not create demons. Demons are the angels who chose to rebel against God with Satan. Christians do not worship God out of fear. God sent Jesus out of love — Jesus died to pay the penalty for sins out of love. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son so that whosever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

It is up to you what to do with this information. God will not force you to believe. You should try to read the Gospel of John for maybe a short time. Start with the first chapter.

    • Marcus says:

Matthew, I would like to say something regarding your final statement on the Bible. If the Bible says some things about cutting off your limbs if they sin, it is not intended to be taken literally. In fact, if the Bible says such things it’s because it is trying to scare people like you would try to scare your son with the boogeyman. People from that time in History knew nothing about God or sins; so, if a sinner wanted to sin on and on, he wouldn’t turn away from that behaviour if you told him that God loves him. He would say: “Ok, God loves me. So what? I am fine already as a sinner, I have no need for a better love”. They needed to realize how awful sin is, despite being so deceitfully appealing. That’s why the Bible seems so horrible at times: to raise awareness. However, that doesn’t mean that the Bible shouldn’t be taken as a serious warning; you never know when it would be VERY painful to cut off one of the “limbs” of your life.

    • God doesn’t reject Matthew 🙂 Man does though… ^_^

  65. Marcus says:

I would like to make an inquiry. What would be the advisable thing to do when trying to break bonds with a deck of cards and with the spirits it can have brought around? Is it enough to burn the cards, or would that tie the spirits closer to you, as some people say? I would also beg for explanations on why it is the right way to do what I am asking, not just telling me “do this, and trust me”. Thanks in advance.

    • Marcia says:

Hello, Marcus, First I have to say you need to have trusted in Christ and be born again, regenerated by the Holy Spirit. If that is not the case, then nothing you can do can help until you trust Christ. If you are a believer then the bond is broken through Christ. Christ has forgiven and frees believers. I assume you have thrown the cards away or burned them? If so, then that is enough. The main reason to get rid of them is so that you are not tempted again. Christ’s atonement is sufficient; no need for us to do additional things for what Christ has done.

      • Marcus says:

I do believe in Christ, indeed. The reason why I bought the cards was because I was trying to get inspiration for an artistic project regarding fairies (the deck of cards had fairies as the central theme). However, life has always been a very steep slope for me, I can’t even remember being happy as anyone else is, so I was feeling very abandoned, wether by God or destiny or whatever anyone might believe in. In fact, I used to fear God many years ago, and I miss that, because that made me feel my pain was lighter. As soon as my life started to become worse and worse, I felt like I never should have been born. I wish I could be certain that I have done nothing wrong to deserve this, or that I can regain the grace I have lost, and I fear that my belief in Christ seems not passionate enough to Him. I have been born in a family that doesn’t believe in God, so my faith was never exalted by a propitious environment. In a way, life has put a strong effort on trying to make me become unworthy. So now I don’t know if I’m clean enough, all I know is that I want to be.

        • Marcia says:

Marcus, you are cleaned by the blood of Christ upon faith in Christ. To think you need to do more or are not clean or passionate enough reveals a lack of understanding in your salvation, which can be remedied by Bible study. You are thinking, even maybe without realizing it, that Christ’s death is not sufficient to cover your sins. That, of course, is false, and what the enemy would want you to believe. It’s not a question of us being passionate or cleansing ourselves, but of trust in what Christ did and what the Holy Spirit does, which is the process of sanctification. You cannot lose God’s grace, because grace is unmerited favor (please note – unmerited!) and you are in His grace always. If I find a book or books on Amazon that may help, can I put them here in a message for you? Are you in the U.S.? If not, maybe Amazon UK has them if you are in the UK.

          • Marcus says:

No, I’m not a native English speaker, and I’m neither in the US nor in the UK. However, pointing out that I should read the Bible should be enough, at least to begin. I remember reading the Bible some seven years ago, since there was one at home, but that led to trouble because my family didn’t understand it, so they got rid of it. Anyway, I can read it online (I have already bookmarked several websites with different translations). The only thing that bothers me is having to stare at the screen for too long.

            • Tina Storey says:

Marcus I can understand where you’re coming from as I also come from a family who are not Christians. Marcia has given you wonderful advice. It would be good for you to find a good Bible group and supportive Christians who will pray with you and support you as you grow in your faith.

  69. Andrea says:

My name Is Andrea and I have a story quite similar to yours. I got my cards read when I was 16 and he told my sons father great things but he had told me terrible horrible things. Now…mind you… I was planning on getting married at the time. I thought he was a fake until everything happened and I was amazed more than anything. I figured if he can do it, so can I. So I got a deck and started reading. I was unnatural. I read EVERYTHING. matter of fact these cards answered yes and no questions. Even if I didn’t want to believe it, my gut told me it was right. 8 years I read for. I got into oracle cards as well and I was AMAZING! I amazed myself all the time!! And I read my angel cards one day after I left my ex and at the time I was confused, lonely, but I didn’t want to go back to my ex ever. He was a rotten person, he drank and did drugs and he abused me terribly. It is now a year and a half I did not speak with him. Well I got the Twin Flame card. and this cards concocts you to your Karmic companion. It asks you to write a letter to your twin flame and I did…. 5 days after I met a handsome fellow and he swept me off my feet. He wanted to spend time with me all the time, we are still even now best friends, I am drawn so close to him. I thought I knew what love was….. I love and care about this man so deeply….. But what I did not know is he is an atheist. I found out a month after I met him and we had arguments about religion. He has demonic presences in him. He is heavily weighed down by this ugly presence. Well wth… How I’m already in love with him and I can’t leave him to be devoured by Satan because I care about him too much… he bashed god so bad I started bible study to start fighting back. I knew god was real but I didn’t know how to answer his tragic questions. “if there was a god why are children getting raped??” ……………….i didn’t know….? So the bible verse that stuck out was 2nd Timothy 3:5 . Well to make a long story short I have been fighting pure hell for the past year. Well my friend has out of body experiences and his grandfather came to him I know it was not his grandfather it was a demon and he doesn’t believe me. He had rage about me reading his cards because his grandfather told him I’m supposed to read them….. NO!! I’m already faithful to my Christian faith. He took my cards and started reading them and I FLIPPED OUT. Something took over me and I had an outrage. No one EVER touched my cards! They are sacred and private to me! I was over whelmed with emotion and he cascaded them all over the floor. I’m so mad at him. I dont know why…. Can someone tell me what’s going on???

    • Marcia says:

Andrea, if you are a born again Christian, why do you still have the Tarot cards? Either you have not trusted in Christ alone for salvation, or you have but are still attached to the cards and have not recognized it is evil to use them. I don’t know what to say until you fill me in on that.

    • Andrea… people rape because this is a planet of freewill, and there are always choices we can make. We can either choose love… or we can choose the other side of love.. the distortions of love. Most of the time, the person who has raped.. has been influenced by the forces of darkness… they come in through thoughts.. so that’s where it begins.. Sometimes it is a lineage lesson that passes from person to person in a family until one of them heals it for all future and past generations. This is why you often see rape running through a family… from mother to daughter.. to her daughter.. so on and so on. xx

  70. From the comments here, it’s clear that duality is still being taught, promoted and forced to be believed in religious circles. Even ‘demons’ are created from the source of all that is, they chose a dark path… but CAN be rehabilitated and shown their own light. Brushing an entity off as a demon and blocking it out, with no compassion, no love.. no help for the spirit, (who usually, has come to a person because that person has had traumatic experiences throughout their lives, which has caused soul fragmentation) only goes to show how little compassion religion has for those beings who MOST need love. No object is evil. And demons don’t possess objects.. they possess people. So if you have a dark cloud following you, it’s because you are holding beliefs or carrying out actions against others which are not compassionate.

There are millions of people affected by the dark forces to varying degrees, and most of those people have not used tarot or other forms of divination before. The dark energies can be attracted to other dark energies residing in humans. And those dark energies in humans can be developed from all kinds of issues. Humans who judge, control, are fearful, feel guilt, scorn others, hatred, cast out others etc… those are the emotions that make one vulnerable to dark energies. It’s what is inside that determines what type of spirit you attract. Being taught to fear anything… IS the influence of darkness. That is the prime emotion that the darkness feeds on… confusion, fear, worry, guilt etc… none of that matters when you know your own heart and intentions. If your intention is to help people through the use of tarot… then you are walking the path of heart, and nobody can make you feel guilty about that. 🙂
Keep spreading that light, worker bees! ❤

    Hi Guys

I think it’s important to remember that the Christians on here haven’t and are not condemning anyone. But we do warn of spiritual practices which have proved dangerous to many people who are now sharing their testimonies.

When I read the Tarot Cards, I was also very loving and cared about the people I gave readings to. I was very positive and I enjoyed what I did. Along the way I heard people warn me of such things, and like yourselves thought there’s nothing wrong with it as it was something I found enjoyable and not at all frightening.

But as my article states, it was on trying to turn away from them that I learned that I had indeed connected myself to an entity (spirit) which had a will and an intelligence of it’s own. I eventually realised this was not a being which brought love (in fact it was devoid of love), and it started to make me feel incredibly nauseous and I started to want it to stop coming but didn’t know how to get rid of it.

At the time I didn’t know the Deliverance Ministry, I didn’t know what it said in the Bible about divination . . . the experience came first . . . It was afterwards I discovered what the Bible said about it. I realised too that such entities react at the name of Jesus Christ.

I think too that in considering the other religions, none of them can offer deliverance. None of them can rid us of spirits in the name of their ‘leader’. None of them give testimonies which has left them wanting to warn others about Occult practices and tell of the truth of how they were freed from such entities – by the name of the living Lord Jesus Christ.

None of this is about condemning or scaremongering, we care very much about telling others of what we have discovered in order to warn them of what they’re getting involved in – nad how to be freed from it. These spirits are NOT your dead relatives, they are more powerful than you, but they are not more powerful than Jesus Christ. He is the one who loves you and will free you from such evil beings. xx

    • Nadine says:

If ou read back over all the comments.. you will find that the Christians on here, ARE condemning those who believe in the good of tarot and meditation. Installing fear in truth seekers about going to mediums or about having their own experiences for fear of attracting demons.. is condemnation. It is a condemnation of a way of life outside of Christianity.

      • Tina Storey says:

There is no condemning going on at all Nadine – we are simply warning of bad spiritual practices – because we have experienced it for ourselves and don’t want others to experience what we have experienced.

It’s not about installing fear, it’s about revealing the truth to people. If that makes people fearful, be reassured that there is no need to be, because Jesus is stronger than anything evil. He is the one who loves us and frees us from such evil beings.

  72. I am a psychic tarot cards reader and I believe it is good that you are making people aware of the dangers in delving into the outjie board where the time is spent normally at night time speaking to dead spirits using a board which is round and made up of letters and numbers to spell out what the spirits are telling you at the séance. It is opening the gateway to bad and good spirits to enter the room during the séance and follow you to your home or work. Tarot card readings are safe as I use the angels, guides and spirits to help me give people the answers to their questions. I am religious but remember do not try to be more clever than the spirits that are around us as we still know little about that world we will see when we die and we will see it as we all die either with age or accident or illness. Our time will come. It is best that we spend our life trying to do good for others as well as ourselves. http://www.tarotcardsreader.co.uk

My friend has tarot cards and when she does readings for me the rest of the pack seem to fall towards me as if they were trying to touch me, they have done this multiple times now. Does this mean anything because as soon as my friend noticed she won’t do anymore readings for me.

    • CR says:

I’ve never heard of this happening.
I use tarot cards and I’ve never seen this.

There are only 2 things i can think of. The most rational explanation being that the cards have too much of that protectant coating on them which makes them slippy. I’ve had that with many of the decks I’ve used.

The other thing I can think of is:

I know when I do readings I have the person I’m reading for divide the deck with their left hand. It’s to pick up the person’s energy and it aids in giving a proper reading.

Tarot cards aren’t evil they’re not going to suck up your energy and steal your soul….as many people here will try to convince you. It’s just a tool, people who can actually use tarot cards tend to have the assistance of angels or spirit guides. Maybe if you did not cut the deck it’s the guides way of saying it’s not being done properly.

Maybe try cutting the deck with your left hand usually done once or three times. Maybe it will stop falling, it’s that or the most rational explanation that there’s too much of that coating on the cards and it makes them slippy.

      Hope this helps.

Before I became a born again Christian, I did not realise satan had a hold of my life. It was when a friend told me about Jesus that I started to see evil manifestations and I knew that there was a kingdom of darkness and a kingdom of light. The devil tried his best to stop me from picking up a bible and talk to Jesus by making me numb with fear … but when I called out ‘ In the name of Jesus … get behind me satan’ I felt peace. I knew that I knew and know the Jesus is alive, yesterday, today and forever! I hope this will help someone.

But I just keep hearing a voice in the gut telling me to BEWARE…so HERE I am following this voice and finding this blog. I believe this is voice of God to warn me and bringing me back to him..to NEVER go to a medium again no matter how GOOD they could seem. God is so real and present and relevant…He is after-all the one and ONLY LORD of my life!!
Thank you God for showing the Truth and the Way,Hallelujah! ps. thank you very much too for sharing your testimony ;).

This has nothing to do with tarot cards and everything to do with calling spirits.. let’s not confuse.. spiritualism, tarot, energy are nothing to do with saunces and dabbling with spirits.. they can be mixed but you’re asking for trouble.. though to be clear “the occult” and mediation, yoga, etc.. are not one in the same and to deal with spirits and saunces you don’t need tarot, also tarot isn’t a gateway drug lol this is a great example of honest ignorance, but not of the negativity of tarot, meditation and energy.

is it bad luck to have other people’s fortune telling items? even if i don’t practice it? because the precious stones are very pretty and i would like to keep them.

    • CR says:

You should NOT use other people’s fortune telling items. I say this since you do not know how they were used.

You may keep them but I highly suggest you have them purified. Holy water works as well as soaking them in water with sea salt. It’s something sometimes done by people who do divination, it’s to cleanse.

Items usually become tuned to the user and won’t work with someone else.

I’m a tarot card user and I’ve used stones for divination as well. I would never use someone else’s items and i would never let someone else use mine.

I do not see the harm in having someone else’s if they are a memento.

Although religious fanatics would tell you other wise to burn and destroy said items.
I’m a practicing Catholic and I’ve never been told to destroy anything or not to use them except the Ouija board, I’ve always been told to avoid those like the plague whether it was for use or just because it was pretty.

Demon possession only occur to those too weak in their mind to banish them! You shouldn’t be reading tarot if you yourself do not know how to cleanse and bless your deck. This is a disgrace to US a part of the occult. To be a witch is to have wit or to be wise. You are acting unwise and moved too far in your practices and allowed fear to settle in. I can’t say that Christianity does not hold truth and love in their practice but do realize many practices of the church extend from Paganism which is the occult. You were messing with energy and did not understand what to do with it when it occurred. Self defense is necessary in physical realm just as it is in the spiritual realm.

  89. Ant says:

This has nothing to do with tarot. This was you talking to dead spirits trying to warn you there was no Jesus presence.

  90. Sam says:

As a tarot reader, empath, and non religious. I can honestly say this is utter bullshit. You bring in what YOU personally attract i.e where you are personally or emotionally. Plus you are unskilled and dabbled very ignorantly to be perfectly honest. Sorry, but to say that the cards are evil and that they bring the bad is just bull crap. The cards are just a conduit, it uses YOUR energy. Unless you allowed people to touch your shit then yeah your cards are gonna be a little funny when you use them. But never ever ever do they truly use a spirit unless you allow it. You spreading fear is just not right. So shame on you. Did you know religion and occult aren’t that different? Your entire post was just silly. The cards don’t even do anything wrong it’s basically just you connecting with yourself and getting unconsious info from yourself.

It feels like I am trapped in an unhealthy cycle and drifting further from God

Its not the cards to blame, its the fact that you were dabbling with the dead. The fact that you went to sayonces ect probably created a link that shouldnt have been created, then u held onto it by asking the cards about the dead, contaminating the pack. Do not dabble with the dead or you will have them to dabble with. I am a Christian and I use tarot cards. The two can exist together. As long as you have the sense to always do what’s right and also, not to let what the cards say determine all the important decisions in your life against your own judgement.

    *takes a deep breath
Tarot cards. cannot. summon. spirits! They are pieces of cardboard used to tap into God, intuition, universal love and wisdom. When doing any type of occult or spiritual practice – yes, anything spiritual – you are raising a higher energy that will eventually get you noticed. This is why you need to take measures to protect youself instead of running in blindly and assuming that asking a spirit to leave will solve the job. Everyone is open to attracting negative entities, especially people with a lot of anger and lack of love. Using anything occult or even raising your vibration by meditating and becoming more spiritual shines brighter to entities and not all the ones who come will be friendly – many just want to feed off your energy, like what happened with you. It seems you dove into these practices out of excitement instead of respect and wariness, and with that view / lack of protection through prayer or shielding, is it really surprising that you got more than you bargined for?

Ouiji boards, seances, group clairaudience events are dangerous and sensational. The spirit world and intuitive abilities are not things to play with for a night before going home to a human-centric lifestyle.

Hey, I’m a teenager but don’t judge. I’m Christian in general, I go to church and stuff (I’m a Catholic ye) and well my 4-5 of my friends have little to some involvement in these things. I myself not knowing what it was because people avoid this subject usually. So I was unaware. Out of curiosity I searched up what it was, and then it began. I discovered the more I read, the more eager I was to know more. It dragged me in and I didn’t even know when. Also, due to my unstable self-image, I was sure that if I share the same interests as them I’ll be liked more. So I continued reading, I attempted to force myself to change all my beliefs. I tried Wicca. It was crazy. I figured it wasn’t right for me no matter what I tried. It was just too complex, I didn’t know how to cast a circle and to be honest I felt guilty a lot. Like I was betraying God. Too being told to find what was right for me, I began searching my path in magick. For one I was sure I didn’t want any deities, still being convinced I should put God first. Not really being sure what to do I still tried to see if anything was out there for me. I was convinced there had to be so I thought to myself what’s wrong with gaining knowledge. But now I see how wrong I was, it was going too far and speeding up so fast. I don’t even know what to compare it to. It felt so right but so right. With all this love and ‘positive energy’. It’s just like wonderland has come out of a fairytale. If you practice you can do more or less anything afterall? All I wanted to be is happy and somehow I wasn’t. It made me feel like someone special with all negativity and most problems magically disappearing into thin air. I was finally someone, I was a secular solitary witch. That worked for me for a while. I didn’t have too many objects with my parents being overly religious on the whole- well that’s what I thought of them at the time.Anyway I was still going to church at no point I stopped even to this point. Though the further I carried on, I noticed how it drew my away from God. I just felt like, when I prayed on the same day I did these things, or wasn’t in sanctifying grace, I just couldn’t connect with God as well as I would have been in sanctifying grace. I noticed I didn’t have a choice anymore, especially when I took breaks and wanted to stop. The longest I lasted was 2 weeks and then I was back in again. I wanted to leave the Christian community a lot, I’m grateful God never let me go and never let that happen. I pray to this day it won’t because I realised how wrong I was. I JUST wanted to BE happy. I never was no matter how many protection spells I did. It just felt so wrong and I just felt to weirdly empty the more I was drawn away from God. God put his love in me, in all of you. No matter where you run away, how far you go he’s always there. I tried ignoring him a lot but he’s just there and he LOVES you, he didn’t spare his son and Jesus died for our sins. His love towards you is so clear, if you read the bible you can’t like not see. I cannot even explain in human words his love. I have never felt so happy in my life and I just know that whatever happens in my life he’s there and I’m not alone. He won’t ever leave me or you. ❤ Right now, I'm going to be changing schools soon because that's for the best. And I know that with God anything is possible and staying in the environment is not going to help. I'm staying positive and trying my best with God's help to never go back. I believe that God's plan is by 1000% surely better than mine looking at how many amazing things he was worked within my life. Tarot Cards may seem to help are first but whatever you see, I assure you God's got something 100 times better in store for you right now. And those who are confused out there these things really bring nothing good like they seem. God is pure good and when he works it's only good. He doesn't work in your life against your will. He loves you so much he gave you free will. And when he works it's by his pure love through prayers. Because when you do pray and it's right for you God will give it to you. Divination, Healing, Telepathy, Clairvoyance, Crystals ANYTHING related to occult is just disguised and won't bring any fruit into your life, God will. I know how hard it is to let go. I just had to say that, because I hope if it doesn't help me, it helps at least 1 person out there. And I pray that you all turn to God; and that he pours out his mercy and love upon you all so you find light, love and the truth within your lives. For he is the truth, the light and the road.

I agree, except for one thing. I don’t think crystals are wrong. God created the elements in the world, as long as we use them right… some for medicine, etc. I like an wear crystal jewelry sometimes, ONLY because they are pretty, and I like shimmery things, plus, many are cheap which I can afford, vs. diamonds, etc. Not everyone who enjoys crystals to wear, are doing so for some kind of occult practice or power. Crystals for me, are simply just pretty jewelry and nothing more.

No offense intended but this is utter nonsense… Firstly Tarot cards were designed as a card game in the 1300 or 1400’s. Secondly the so called “occult” practices to which you reference are ancient pagan religious rituals that pre date Christianity… It is the nature of most major religions to look down on the older faiths that existed before and those that exist alongside them… To believe that all nonChristians are heathens is an affront to the very nature of Christ… It is strange when people use God’s judgement to mask their own… Hypocrisy is more an affront to God than evil because at least evil is honest about what it is…
Real Christians don’t go about telling stories about evil spirits and bogeymen, they speak to a person’s soul and guide them toward a pious life where they share not only the love of God but God’s kindness as well… That kindness also comes in the form of respecting the beliefs of others without having to compromise your own ideals…
Back to tarot cards, their ability to divine the future may or may not be rooted in fact. However if we are to believe in their “power” then the fact is that they are merely a tool comprised of symbols that help tell a story, to foretell the future… Even with books unless you are truly “gifted with the sight” you are really guessing and more likely using your own deductive reason or subconcious feelings about the topic or person to draw a conclusion… Allow me to be very clear, I am not a skeptic however I am not a fool… Devout belief in your faith means not compromising it’s most vaunted ideals even when their is conflicting information… The Bible is filled with contradictions , the reason for that is the true test… Will you be the loving Christian Jesus was , or will you allow hatred and fear to corrupt your own religion… It seems like many commenting here have allowed the very Devil they fear to help fuel their hatred of things they don’t understand… Open your eyes and hearts, you can’t possibly feel good spreading lies and blaming your troubles on magic and demons… When faced with darkness you must ask yourself not how you came to face such darkness but what can you do to bring your self out… Blaming inanimate objects is not a productive way of achieving this goal… That is the truth, and I didn’t need tarot cards or a crippling hatred or fear of magic to uncover it…

    • nobody says:

It is not ‘fear’ why Christians… true ones, stay away. It is because Jesus (God’s Word manifested in the flesh) says not to partake in such things, and those who love Him, will abide by His Holy Word! One can not have 2 masters! If one says they love God, but do not do as His Word says, then their love is null and void, in vain, and they don’t truly love Him. Yes, He loves and forgives all who repent, but one must turn away from their sins! The scriptures are also clear in that God created everyone and everything, but not all are ‘adopted’ into His family as HIS CHILDREN, unless they do as He says. He knows what is best for us, not ourselves or the world… the world ruled by satan at this time. There is also something called ‘righteous’ judgment in love… to know right from wrong. The only judgement Jesus condemned, was when we do so to others thinking we better than others, when none of us are. Also, we are not to Judge one’s eternal destination, for only God has the power to do that. It most certainly is right to discern/judge right from wrong. Even our judicial system knows that, or nobody would ever go to jail for breaking man’s laws. Gods laws supercede even mankinds laws! This is why we see a world rampant today in sinning… everyone doing their own thing, right or wrong, and it is getting worse daily. Not everything is ok or right to do!

Though I stay away … Lately I’ve had particular curiousity in a psychological dream reading , however that sparked my curiosity in tarot and talking to a reader … But my gut has been preventing me from doing such … So I decided to google tarot and the bible … And I’m glad I did !

I am glad you got away from Tarot! I have applied experimentations with Tarot and I have applied experimentations with people in these forums.. So many people are trying to pry into the private lives of others without consent! The big important factor is that – only a significant ignorant, or deceiver will use taro to gain profit. These cards were never intended to be fortune telling her future telling cards.

Sent from Outlook what i find incredible is that people with christian experience get involved with such practices .It seems the devil does not have to try too had to deceive individuals . perhaps its because people want power over others. i have a rather deranged sister who claims she is a healer when in fact she into the occult big time.she deceives others and always has done with her big ego and has always been a liar. She was also brought up as a Christian as both my parents were born again .l have no doubt she has powers doing damage to others as she does to herself. Perhaps the church fails such weak characters like my sister meaning they seek other such demonic practices to fill a void in their sad lives.

Everything in this world or the entire universe were created by GOD and nothing else. I thing it depends on how you use the tarot. If you want to help and aid by the guidance of GOD you will be bless by the holy spirit. I can predict the future and saw past decades ago and this is a gift from my Father (GOD), I always talk to him since young and guide me through my whole life when I saw some tragedy (Either by dreams or direct encounter to future) I talk with God and use a tarot card calling his name to aid me and understand. I never never encounter some demons or evil spirits that attack me. Some spirits and other elemental beings tried to talk to me but they never hurt me. I also believer of Karma and did not hurt animals or plants for no reason at all.

  111. Mya says:

Have you never asked your guides and angels to protect you or done a circle of protection around yourself before reading the cards? Have you never blessed them with sage after each reading to get rid of energies of yourself and others? Have you never blessed your home with sage to get rid of entities? Sounds to me like all your classes were useless considering that they never taught you to protect yourself when using such a tool. Remember that your belief in something is what gives it power. If you ended up seeing the cards as nothing but just cards, it wouldn’t have been so powerful. That’s how everything in this world functions. Your belief is what shapes your reality.

There have been seers, oracles and such many centuries ago. This isn’t some new age thing. Some people pick it up and some are born with abilities and gifts. The devil has nothing to do with it. It all depends on the intention you have and how you use the gift you have. If you use it for greed (to get money) then dark energies will consume you but if you use it for healing and to give guidance to someone’s life, then goodness will follow. I was born in a Roman Catholic family and I have seen that such a religion always makes things either black or white. Sometimes things aren’t always what they seem. The energies around you pick up on your intentions even if you are successful at fooling others.. you cannot fool the energies (god source) that’s everywhere. Energy attracts energy.

    • nobody says:

Only if one prays for monetary gain for ‘greed’ is it wrong. But if one truly is hurting (hungry, losing roof over head, etc.), then praying for a miracle for monetary relief is not wrong or evil, and of course, to share the money received, with others in need.

I currently am in the stage where I choose not to believe in God anymore. Ive been loyal to him, praising him, going to masses regularly, praying rosary daily. But I never felt him being there when I needed him most. The times where I have such heavy problems where I dont think I deserve to have them, God never showed up to help me. Infact those problems kept on hurting me till now even if iys been too long. I honestly consulted psychics with my problems as well and i feel dependent to them at the moment.

  116. A wonderful story!! Please read my conversion story at http://acceptjesusassavior.wordpress.com. God didn’t give up on trying to get me to see the truth and I won’t give up on him, ever. I hope my story can help people. I’ve gotten some good feedback on it and I promise it’s a great story.
    God Bless!!!

  118. Nicole says:

Thank you so much for sharing your experience publicly. People who go through these experiences often feel alone and crazy (the confusion is part of demonic works to turn you against yourself and the light) so it’s great to hear testimonies from others as a warning and a guide of how to free ourselves from these entities that are real and out to destroy. may God continue to bless you for your testimony.

  119. Zara says:

Had any of my predictions been true, I would have been (a) in a dream job, (b) exceedingly wealthy, and (c) with a “soulmate” by now. There’s God-given intuition and then there’s BS. Tarot readings fall into the latter category. We project our fears and desires into the energy readings. Best to rely on science and hard facts.

  120. nobody says:

Doreen Virtue now says she has visions of Jesus! If true, then it means God is trying to get through to her, to save her soul & give up here Tarot, and mediumship stuff. Otherwise, she is lying to deceive many, into thinking they can do what they want, and Jesus/God will still love and save them! In Scriptures, Jesus was very clear when He said, “If you love me, you will abide by my words” !!! Throughout scriptures, Divination is against God & His word.

  121. kddla@intnet.com says:

Sorry Tina, but I think any negativity you experienced was from seeing mediums, and also calling upon unknown entities as you said you and your mother would do. You even admitted, the cards in themselves are not evil, but divination is. Well, as a Christian myself, who reads the bible all the time, I can’t alsways find specific daily advice and guidance from it. I don’t call on ‘spirits’ while using tarot or oracle cards, I only ask God to guide me, and if His will, to use the cards to speak to me, directly from God, and He has done that several times, and sometimes, He does not. It is no different than when I pray and in prayer ask God to help me to understand something, or guide me, and reveal what I should or should not do, and that is not divination! If it were, than all prayer to God is divinition! I think God is only concerned for our safety when and if we call up spirits we do not know. I always use the name of Jesus when using the tarot or oracle cards… as I only want Him to speak to me. They are used as a tool, not divination… predicting the future. I use them for quick daily answers to a certain problem I’m going through. Also, how many Christians always prophecize this or that, and then it is proven wrong? When they do all this future prediction stuff via so called prophecy, that is also considered divination!!!!!

  122. jstrea@jstrea.com says:

I don’t know. When I was a devout Christian, many bad things would happen to me. The closer I got to God, the worse things got. Everyone told me, that was because the devil attacks those who follow God. I never used Tarot or any occult things. Later in life I started using Tarot, and problems still occurred in my life… sometimes and sometimes not. So either way… with or without Tarot in ones life, bad happens, and with or without God in ones life without occult things, bad things happen to. So what is the truth then? Seems to me, this life has both bad & good experiences, whether or not one practices Tarot or anything else. Maybe take nothing so serious, and life experiences will get better? Who knows. I don’t listen to anyone anymore, and just go with what I determine to be right or wrong for me.

  123. Jonas says:

This is all bull shit. Tarot Cards are divine and can be used to guide us.

  124. suckatosh says:

Personally, I can’t stand the wench! She’s as phoney as a 2 dollar bill… phoney degrees, phoney carjacking story (no police record of the incident, which most sane people would have reported). The only degree she really obtained via hard work, was her bachelors, while the others were ‘purchased’ online in quick BS studies. There is also no such thing as a ‘spritual psychologst’, etc. The medical science community would not allow it.

The woman is also so damn in love with herself, and tries to come across as a very caring and compassionate person, but I can see right through her greedy, self gain only BS. She is the most self indulged narcissist I’ve ever seen.

Regarding her supposed clinical experience… She claims she was a director of some medical center (I can’t remember the name), but if you do the math, she got into her angel card business full time a year after she got her last supposed degree and worked full time in a clinical counseling arena… which means, she only did it one year!!! Not many years! There is also no public record of the so called hospital she worked at.

SHE IS A FRAUD, that lies by omission. She wants people to think she is more than she is and ever was. She had a very easy life as a child (from a loving family), and an easy life as an adult. She has not suffered anything, except a few divorces which many people have.

I don’t care what anyone says here, and attack me if you will… I gave MY OPINION, not yours! Doreen Virtue is a stone cold hearted PHONEY! with a wimpy ass husband who even took Doreen’s last name, instead of keeping his own! As the figure of speech goes, she castrated him! Doreen controls EVERYTHING, EVEN HIM! HA HA! She also now mixes Jesus and biblical stuff in her weekly video readings… but chooses to IGNORE biblical teachings (Old & New Testament), forbidding DIVINATION IN ANY FORM! She will face an eternity in the lake of fire, because she blatantly knows what she is doing, and how she is leading others astray. Satan has full control of her! In the meantime, the FILTHY RICH WENCH, WILL KEEP TAKING DONATIONS FOR HER RANCE FROM POOR PEOPLE AS WELL!

  125. suckatosh says:

Correction in my last post: Ranch, not rance. Also, I thought this was the forum for Doreen Virtue, and not Tarot in general. I guess it all still relates to the topic at hand. Sorry about that though.

  126. I have read through the persons true story about the tarot card and the path to God and her saviour Jesus is the only path . I myself have learnt a bit more about this practice and very grateful to be aware now from it . Thank God and my saviour Jesus .

  127. Bailey says:

Thank you, this makes a lot of sense. I’ve owned a deck for a few years, I only “played” with them maybe 2 or 3 times, but every time, I felt really odd, along with the sense of discomfort. Tonight I told my friend about my experience and she wanted to see if she could sense something. (We are both empaths.) We both felt that odd feeling, she even got a headache. I felt nauseous and another person in our group got a stomach ache. Me and my friend are Christian, and clearly, anything that is tied to the occult, can open a door and ANYTHING can walk through. I need to get rid of the cards. Thank you again. I will NOT destroy them, I’ve seen what happens with burning a Ouija board, I’m not a fool. I will however, find a different way to get rid of them.

THAT IS CHRIST’S INFLUENCE WHICH ARE FREE OR A GOOD CHRISTIAN PASTOR OR PRIEST. THEY GET SALARIES FOR 24/7 jobs.

I am a bible-believing Christian who is concerned about my daughter-in-law’s use of tarot card readings. I tried to tell her it could be dangerous and that it may open the door for evil spirits. I have since come to know that her father is deeply involved in this practice and he even personally told me that it was “most certainly NOT demonic” and that it was more or less a therapeutic practice that involved “good magic.” I didn’t believe a word of what he said but I didn’t want to argue with him. Now I am worried (even though the Bible says not to worry) because I heard my daughter-in-law asking her father on the phone if there was a way to do readings for her 18 month old baby (my only precious grandchild!). How can I witness to her in a way that doesn’t disrespect her relationship with her dad? I feel an urgency to do something. I am praying God’s protection over my son, his wife, and their baby. I really want her to get rid of the cards and for them to trust in Jesus for their future, not some divination.

This is about cognitive dissonance, not the inherent evil of occult that you adopted when you were overwhelmed by the power of the lord. You were attached to YOUR stuff. You, are now different towards your items and it may be traumatizing and scary to your old self to throw away things you LOVE. The lord wants us to be good happy people with beautiful souls, not polarized souls.

Hi, I’m a Christian and my closest relative claims to be a Christian as well. I’m worried if I tell her that her tarot cards are always evil she will turn on me. She performs what she calls good magic and she has ability of foresight she claims her magic protects herself from toxic evil people. She knows I’m uncomfortable with her hobby and she keeps them away from me. But I know deep down that these things are very evil. She always has some sort of struggle in life going on but she says God and Jesus always answer her prayers. What can I do or say that will help her see the truth. Also I’m afraid she’ll use her magic on me if I make her angry. What should I do???

I had the same problem sort of speak, but I am a medium psychic believe it or not! and my gift is to see ghosts and telepathy! I didn’t know about the pentagram necklace at the time. I haven’t read tarot cards in years but now I’m starting to all over again but miraculously I found out about the pentagram necklace. It protects you from evil spirits in any negative energy that could harm you while doing tarot cards. at the time I asked God and pray to him to see if I could still do the tarot cards, because I am the Catholic! in a sign an answered prayer he did give me permission to use in the tarot cards. I cleanse my pentagram necklace the first time I got it, but tomorrow with my incense backflow burner, I’m going to cleanse it again just in case to get rid of negative energy. Now I have free rein to learn all about the tarot cards once again!, and more to the point I never take my pentagram necklace off!!!, except for cleansing spell. It’s hereditary for my mom’s family on her side that I’m a true medium psychic!, if you ever decide to get back into tarot cards. check out the powers of a pentagram necklace, it could help you immensely!!!

  143. Bloodiekiss says:

If theres is a cold in the house you’re gonna do extra cleaning right? Well every time your cards cross hands with someone they are gathering their energy (weather it’s good or bad) just like a cold they get caught inside the cards. If you dont cleanse your cards that cold is just gonna turn into a mega virus. For cleansing I make moon water and lay out my cards out and barely mist them. Then I take white sage and cleanse each card. On the full moon take them out to be recharged

i believe for those whose taro cards/decks to do what you described, they are those who made it do by manifesting it by intending it from within themselves either intentionally or inadvertently due to what’s in their hearts, perhaps driven by a “witchy” ego and not out of good and innocent intentions, due to the law attraction/intention. I believe there’s no need for cleansing ceremonies for them, unless yourself openned it for tarnishment.
